Change Play - In 2K5, it would be nice when you pull up the change play screen to have the following options: Pressing the Right Analog in different directions calls a different play, pressing the Passing Icon (black button would be used in place of R) of a specific player calls for them to be substituted for at the next opportunity. Of course, pressing the White Button would close the "Change Play" window. The triggers would step up or slow down the tempo.

Timeout - Select/Back (when available)

Offense w/ Ball

Left Analog...............Movement
Right Analog.............Footwork (more later)
A.............................Directional Passing (Pressure Sensitive)
X.............................Shooting
Y..............................Hook Shots, Layups/Dunks (I don't want it, but tons of people do)
B..............................Crossovers
Black........................Call for Pick
White........................Change Play
Left Trigger................Display Icons for Passing (Pressure Sensitive)
Right Trigger..............Speed Burst/Turbo
Press in Left Analog....Post Up
Press in Right Analog...Pivot Mode

Advanced:

Tap Y...................Quick, safe dunk/layup
Tap Y + Turbo.......Quick, hard dunk/layup
Hold Y...................Regular, very safe dunk/layup
Hold Y +Turbo.......Highlight Reel dunk/layup

Fake Pass - Tap A.

Lead Pass - Tap A or Pass Icon twice.

Bounce Pass - Tap Pass Icon.

Alleyoop - Press A and X (Alleyoops should work no matter if someone is available or not. The actual alleyoop and then the catch/dunk are two separate animations.

Pro Hop - Press Right Analog forward.

Step Back - Press Right Analog back.

Juke Left - Press Right Analog left.

Juke Right - Press Right Analog right.

Switch Hands - Tap B

Crossover - Press B while pressing the Left Analog in the direction you wish to crossover. Pressing forward will result in a spin, pressing back will result in a quick dribble behind the back.

Dribble Between Legs - Hold B to dribble between the legs in place. Whle holding B, you can then press the Left Analog in any direction to begin a crossover.[/b]

Quick Stop - While running, you can stop the player to make room from the defender by pressing in the Right Analog.

Post Up - While posted up (by pressing in the Left Analog), you control movement with the Left Analog, but you can also control several things with the Right Analog. Forward does a hard push, left fakes left, right fakes right, and back gets you lower.

Pivot Mode - While pressing in the Right Analog, you can fake step in different directions using the Left Analog. If the player is not dribbling, the Left Analog controls how the ball is held: Back holds the ball high in the air (protecting it), Left and Right swing the ball out that way to make space, and Forward moves the non-pivot foot forward while the player lowers himself to protect the ball.

Offense w/o the Ball

Left Analog...................... Movement
Right Analog.....................Jukes
A.....................................Pass to User's Player
X.....................................Tell Ballhandler to Shoot
Y.....................................Call for Ball
B.....................................Spin
Black................................Set Pick
White...............................Change Play

Press in Left Analog............Post Up/Block Out
Press in Right Analog..........Pivot

Advanced:

Call for Lead Pass - Double tap A

Call for Alley Oop - Press X and A simultaneously

Call for Bounce Pass - Tap A or Pass Icon

Defensive Controls

Left Analog............................Movement
Right Analog..........................Defensive Movements (More later)
A..........................................Random Switch Player
X..........................................Jump
Y...........................................Face Up Opponent (what L did in previous 2K's)
B..........................................Attempt Steal
Black....................................Call for Double Team
White....................................Change Play
R..........................................Speed Boost/Turbo
L...........................................Player Icon Select
Press in Left Analog................Block Out
Press in Right Analog..............Intentional Foul

Advanced:

Step forward and raise arms - Press towards opponent on Right Analog.

Defensive step left/right - Press left or right on Right Analog (should not result in a charge or steal, but should result in a stopped drive to the basket).

Take Charge - Press away from opponent on Right Analog.

Swat at ball - Press X while in midair (regular "jump" should be less risky while a "swat" has a better chance of blocking, but a higher risk of fouling).

Fake Jump - By tapping X, the player starts to jump but does not. In this way, players can fake like they have been fooled or they can save themselves if they almost are.

Defensive Post - When against an offensively posting player, the defender automatically switches to a defensive post stance. During this stance, the player can use the Right Analog to make certain defensive moves. Forward raises a hand to defend a shot, left and right step one foot out in that direction, and back is used if the user thinks the offensive player will use a hard push - timing it right causes the defender to fall back on the ground, giving the offensive player the penalty, while not using it at the right time causes the defensive player to lose ground.

Much thanks to whomever voted "Good" but didn't explain what problems they saw as I specifically asked in the poll.
