Just redo nfl2k5 without nfl or espn logos, names or characters and just make all generic players. Make up a network. Find some cheap actors to do onfield commentary. You dont need STARS.
Make the game with allpro graphics an animations and you are set.
Just make the game look like a TV STYLE FOOTBALL GAME with halftime shows, pregame. Post game. The works and your game will sell like hot cakes.
I am tired of this "This year we put Icons at the bottom of players stuff"
Just make a football game that looks like a real Football Game.

that would be nice but any non NFL game that doesnt have the NFL logos, players, stadiums, uniforms, will not sell like hot cakes. If they just add all the 2k5 features to All pro 2k8 and let us customize everything we want to, it will make us all happy. It would be the ultimate gift for 2k football fans. But it still wont sell well to the general public.

Why not just put next years game at 25-30 dollars, and release it in June. That way people look at it and go. Hmmm, my Madden or NCAA doesn't come out of a few months, and this games only $30. I should try it out. Then make sure they use the legends and make a NFL 2k5 type of game (Halftime shows, End of Game shows, The Crib, and all those awsome little features we all loved.).

My computer was broken for about 3-4 weeks. I had to use a 10 year old laptop that would hardly load any website.

I could care less about the rights to the NFL. I want 2k to strike it's own deal with the NFL and Players association for the rights to all the retired player past/present/future so they don't have to sign individually. Slap the NFL logo on the game as the nostolgic NLF game and we have a game that will dominate for years to come. Every year players retire. Now we can have them in this game. 2K donates a portion of sales to the Retired players fund and both games can co-exist.

This game needs a lot more than a patch. I'm not paying $30 for that. I wouldn't even pay $30 for APF if I knew what I was getting.
APF is a nice diversion, but it doesn't fill that hunger left by the crappy Madden '08. And it definitely doesn't make me forget about 2K5.
I also agree with others here on the suggestions. I think the Thomas's are wrong. I think fans would be interested in a game derivative of the NFL. What they did the first time in 2K8 was too thin and it just flat out didn't work. 2K needs to make us BELIEVE the league is real. Treat it like it's real. You don't need the NFL to make it seem authentic. It just takes focus and effort, and seriousness.
With all that said, I have doubts that there will be a 2K9. By now, the games are usually at least ANNOUNCED. We've heard nothing. So I wouldn't hold my breath. I even doubt 2K will ever make another football game at this point. They really have no incentive now, and even less without the prospect of the NFL license.

I agree but I think APF's graphics need a big upgrade.
