Take all the legends out of the game and focus on the game of football first. To be able to customize everything to the players,coaches,stadiums,etc... Pregame, halftime, postgame and championship shows. Bring back the animations from 2k5.Refresh the commentary and then if people want legends, sell legend packs cheap on live.

Instead of wasting money on contracts every year, just release patches every few months or so. Your wasting millions of dollars on those legends and that money could be used for the game itself. EA will never give up the license,so there's no reason for 2k to be so worried about the NFL.

I agree with you that EA will never give up the exclusive deal & that they need to drop the legends. I enjoy building my team and playing them online but for all the money they spent on legends it netted them nothing in sales. i would rather see them make money on this game so it will continue. But I believe they signed the legends to multi year deals so they might as well use them up.

They gotta have a franchise mode in the next game. Forget playing nice with the No Fun League and give us what we want. Teams that mimick thier nfl teams with the players having different names but same attributes. Include all the negative aspects of the nfl almost like Blitz. All the TD celebrations, trash talking, players suspended, team spying, etc. Take every shot they can at the nfl & at ea. More commentary that take shots at them.

Thats stupid, legends are pretty much the reasons for half of the sales for this game, People want some connection to the NFL(Im not saying we want it, but the majority of the people who will buy a football game do) So taking the legends out of this game, would take away so many sales, that this game would probably never be reproduced.

i agree DBlock it wouldn't sell as well unless they made it into a NCAA game being their is a very large College Football fanbase but to make a game strictly using generic characters would be a bad move as far as sales go

I agree to an extent about the legends. I say if you wanted to start a franchise the legends could either be optional or put in at an age when their prime occurred, or something like that. Some would be older and some younger. But I think for the ability to keep the gamer consumed the franchise mode is a must, a lot of people do not have Xbox Live and the replay ability of the game suffers for them. If the gamer does not want to use the legends, then generic players can be used with random ages and attributes with the tendencies that you select. Kind of like this game when you choose the type of position players. And the abilities will be random for the players.

Franchise is for offline anyway. I could care less about a stupid franchise mode. Online is why I play 2K games.

Agree to disagree. But I think more than half the sales were to diehard 2K football fans that would buy any football game they release especially one with a franchise mode. Judging by the sales no one cared for the legends. People dont want a connection to the nfl, they want the nfl. Blitz the league probably sold more and it has no legends. Why spend all the money on them if they cant make it back in sales
?

As far as the connection to the nfl thats why i said recreate all the nfl teams, just have them with different names.

With as low as sell were, i don't think it matters, plus Legends/Hall of Famers are on Madden too. Full customization might be the way to go since Legends didn't really work...and Franchise of course, that lost a lot of sells also. But they should keep Legends optional. Far as many people that bought it just because it had Legends, lack of features stopped just as many sells.

Did you not read my post!!!!! I said have legend packs online for people who want the legends. Instead of signing guys to multi year deals,Pay them a one time fee and make him available on live. Signing them to multi year deals is hurting 2k cuz they dont have the money to throw around like EA. They dont need to put out a game every year,Just continue to sign legends and put them on live in legends packs.

By them doing that gives them the money to invest more into the game itself and with full customization on everything,All Pro will be a force in the future!!!!

So what if its all generics from the start, even if you dont want the legends, you could edit all the generics names and uniforms to start an NFL online league. Thats awesome.

Ya i read your post, but im not gonna pay for extra legends, thats stupid, And i dont have all the time in the world to change everyones names and background.Leave the legends, i guarentee you that if you take legends away, this game goes straight to the dumps. Unless they put it to a $20 price tag.
