I was just watching ESPN and Chris Mortonson just said this is 100% that the player will be playing without a current contract and/or not playing at all. I am wondering if 2K can use this somehow either to grab hold of the old contract or by getting a jump on signing retired players/future players.
Your thoughts.
Will the NFL want a game pushed on fans when the league is on the verge of strike?

What would be funny is if 2K got the NFLPA license and Madden was stuck with just the NFL license.
What I don't understand is that the NFLPA tried to somehow get royalties to their names/stats in Fantasy Football, but it was declared that their names and stats were "public domain." If that is truely the case then why can't video game developers use their names and stats?

Good Question.
I dont understand the whole thing. To me as long as you dont have real life pictures of the guys on your box or in the game who's to say who they really are. If you catch my drift...

Personally, I would like to see 2K find a way around the player likeness issue...
There are a lot of people in this world.... who's to say that there isn't more than one Brady Quinn? or maybe there is someone else in the world named Chad Johnson.... All they need to do is change the height and weight by one inch or 5 lbs and there ya go...
what's in a name?
