Just my personal preference to try and look like I might have something going for me. Take a look around sometime at people in throwback jerseys and that stuff. Do you want to be part of that crowd?

Exactly my point. You, an outsider observing someone wearing a jersey, is thinking this person is a fan of that particular team. It is always about image, and what people think. That is why it is ignorant to say I do something and I don't care what anyone thinks. The only reason this would come into play with clothing is comfortability. If a piece of clothing is more relaxing to wear then another, appearance isn't even a variable.
