Is it possible to use custom built players online??

Was playing a game the other night online and the guy did a lot of substitutions before the game started then as the game went on he did some more, but the odd thing the second time around is I noticed the name on his LB's jersey. The name on the jersey was "MyLinebacker" and it was impossible to run after he started using this new player. I managed to still keep playing and score some more points, but I found it odd he could just add in custom "super players" at will and use them online.
Is this possible or did he find a way to do it through a cheat or something??

My saved roster changes dont carry over into multiplayer so how he got a custom player in there I dont know.

Yes and No. Yes, you can use custom playbooks online but No it does not work 95% of the time. This is a glitch that VC has released a patch for but if has not been certified by Microsoft yet.

I have read that it should be available this week however.
