Patch 1.1 is live for the Microsoft Xbox 360 console, and should download automatically with your confirmation if connected to Xbox Live. Simply insert the MLB 2K8 disc into the tray, start the game, and you should receive notification that a patch is available if you are online. Select to download the patch, the game will restart, and everything should be working correctly. We are currently awaiting notice from Sony Entertainment that the patch is up for the Playstation 3 console. If you are without online capabilities, we highly recommend that you try to take your console to a friend's house in which you can connect via ethernet cable, but if you do not have access at all, here are some ways to bypass framerate issues in version 1.0:

For Xbox 360:
- Sign out of your Xbox 360 profile by hitting the Xbox Guide button (the center button with the large green X), and pressing the blue X button.

- You can still save your franchise by signing back in to the gamer profile before attempting to save in the franchise menu. Simply press the Xbox Guide button (the center button with the large green X), select "Sign In," and select the gamer profile you wish to save the franchise to. You will need to sign back out prior to playing another game if you wish to alleviate the framerate problems currently being experienced.

For PS3:
- We are currently testing some different methods to make sure they work in all situations. Check back soon for more information.

3/7 Update - Please note that some control issues are resulting from players having their guitar / drum controllers plugged into their consoles. These controllers are used for music games such as Rockband and Guitar Hero II & III. Please unplug these controllers prior to playing MLB 2K8 as they were not connected to consoles during pre-release testing and are causing unexpected consequences at this time.*

3/7 Update - 2K Sports has identified the framerate issue as not being server-related. Some users have been suggesting that you only need to log-off of an internet connection (Xbox Live for X360 users), but this is not true. The issue is isolated to the Virtual Identity Profile's data transfer.

3/13 Update - 2K Sports is aware of the Nintendo Wii franchise mode issue in which errors occur within a saved franchise. If you have experienced these problems, please use the following method to restore your franchise to correctly functioning:

- Create a new franchise completely
- Open the old franchise you are trying to fix
- The franchise should operate correctly

3/13 Update - 2K Sports forum moderators have been receiving questions regarding the whether business situations of Take Two Interactive will have any impact on the release of future patches, roster updates, etc, of MLB 2K8. The answer to that is no. So no worries, do not listen to rumors about dates the patch may come out, what it may contain etc - you will have the first information given to you via this thread.

3/18 Update - 2K Sports will be making an official announcement in regards to the forthcoming patch very soon. We will also be introducing a new liason to the online community through a single, major announcement. Please check back to see this upcoming information.

3/20 Update - Many people are wondering when full online league features are going to be up and running for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles. To answer that question, first let me say that they are most likely to be available for your use prior to Opening Day of the MLB 2008 schedule. Second, let me explain that the delay has been the result of 2K Sports' desire to test the league options with the next patch prior to making those abilities available so that no future problems occur between the two.

3/20 Update - Online lag during Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 play is a serious concern. However, please understand that the some of the latency experienced can also be attributed to the framerate issue. Once the patch is released in the very near future, you should have a much more pleasant experience online (although as with all online experiences, your latency can vary).

3/20 Update - As previously reported by the new fan community liason of 2K Sports, Ronnie Singh, Patch 1.1 is in the testing stages and should be ready for download in the very near future. We thank you for the patience you have extended to 2K Sports during this unprecedented time.

3/25 Update - As promised, full online league functions are now up and running. Patch 1.1 is close behind.

4/1 Update - This is not an April Fool's joke. Patch 1.1 is up on Xbox Live and we are awaiting release by Sony Entertainment on the Playstation 3. Please note that the patch should download automatically, but will prompt you to allow the download to occur when you start the game. Please note also that the patch could potentially be down at times today only because it has just been released - we have no control over its availability as it is totally in the control of Microsoft. However, we do not have any reason to believe that there will be any problems downloading the patch today whatsoever. We hope you enjoy, and thank you for the patience you have demonstrated as 2K Sports has navigated these uncharted waters (at least for us).

4/3 Update - Microsoft is experiencing problems with Xbox Live which has caused the patch's release to be delayed. This is completely on Microsoft's side at this point, and we look forward to them being able to release the patch very soon.

4/7 Update - Patch is now up and stable on Xbox Live.

4/23 Update - Roster Update given to Microsoft and Sony for distribution through their online services.
