I'm just trying to get a feel on what everyone here feels, what can use some tweaking. If I see a certain amount of the same reples I will add them to this main page. Please have atleast 2O games played before posting. This will help immensly.
Heres' My Tweak List

Reduce the AI paint corners a little. It seems on the default every pitch is borderline, which is a little extreme.
Make it a little bit harder for human steals. It seems like I can steal third whenever I want, which is rarely the case.
Reduce the AI hit quality. This gives them more singles and doubles rather than homeruns every mistake.
AI infield reaction drastically lowered. Without it lowered, you can barely squeak anything in the gaps of the infield unless it's right up the middle.

Ya I have to say the pitching sliders are the main thing i'm currently tweaking. I think they default it to throw lots of strikes to get you lots of chances to hit and to reduce the game lengths... I personally dont' like this and rather have more walks and a higher pitch counts

Dark, once you start tweaking there are certain sliders you can't tweak too much because if you do, they screw-up your starting point.
The main culprets are:
Both POWER Sliders
Both Fielding Sliders (Speed & Reaction)
Just another head-up no matter what you set the AI Steal Sider they just won't steal. They won't even hit & run with that slider maxed-out.
I have a set that I'm tweaking with the help of members from OS. Once we get them feeling about right I post them

Big, can you please give the actual number for each setting and not the number as a byproduct of X up or down from the all-star settings?
I have my own custom sliders and would like to compare these to my own but can't really do that since mine aren't like all-star.

Sup Joe thanks for posting,
Basically I'm just trying to get a feel on what exactly people are looking for and use this as some sort of research. Cause at this particular time I find it's way to soon for me to tweak sliders, I really need to spend time playing the game and find exactly what needs to be done. I'll do exactly what I did for MLB 2K7 and that is I will take my time. Plus I'm not a fan of seeing 10/20 different versions posted every week by the same person saying now they got it right.
If I do decide on going public with them, they will be fully tested but not rushed for I'm not about name/public recognition. But when I do get to it, I will be playing the most possibly realistic game I know. Truthfully I'm really enjoying it out the box and working on receiving my achievements and baseball cards.

That simply means that the author of the sliders is simply getting better at the game. They'll creidt sliders for more walks and less K's, even though it really means they just stopped swinging at every pitch.
There are F-A-R too many people (especially on the internet) talking when they should be listening.
I just bought the game, and haven't played it yet. I wasn't sure I'd buy it after 2k7, but I broke down and gave in. I am amazed to see people typing reviews after playing the game for 2 hours or a 1/2 game or something. Amazing. Some folks talk just to make noise. God forbid they don't get some attention every 20 minutes.

Can a patch put the numbers back on the sliders, so I don't have to count my clicks for f's sake?
I would really like to kick the person in the balls or the ****** who decided the sliders didn't require numbers next to them.

the CPU ran a suicide squeeze on me yesterday with Jose Reyes on 3rd in the top of the ninth inning with 1 out in a 1-1 tie game.
needless to say, i was frustrated
but happy, beacuse it was awesome.

I bumped my AI Steal Overall, I believe that's what it's called, up to about 3/4 of the way. I've noticed that they steal more but really only with the people you'd expect to steal. With that being said, I also bumped up the AI Steal Second slider though I'm not going to bother telling you where, as it's not that great and still needs tweaking. I didn't bother touching the AI Steal Third slider seeing as it's damn near impossible to get them to swipe second, making stealing third that much more taboo. I also decreased the Human Steal sliders because it was becoming way too easy to steal. In my Franchise, Russel Martin is on pace for 50 or so steals. He's fast, but he shouldn't exceed 25 on any one season.

For AI pitching: Paint corners definitely needs reduced. Also throw strikes needs reduced quite a bit as well, otherwise they rarely ever throw anything outside the zone, which isn't realistic.

AI infield defense is insane, they lay out and snag almost everything. looking forward to the sliders

- AI Stealing needs more.
- AI pitcher needs to throw more Balls
- Throw Meter Difficulty needs to be more sensitive
- Both Batter Skills needs to be more sensitive
- Both AI Corner needs to be more sensitive
- AI Take Strike Overall needs to be more sensitive
- AI Take Ball Overall needs to be more sensitive
- AI Power needs to be more sensitive
- AI Fielding Agression should be 0 default and non existant
Needs to be more sensitive = these sliders have to take to drastic of a change to be effective such as all the way up to 100 or like AI Power all the way down to 5!

One thing I've noticed is that I don't have a huge problem giving up home runs on every bad pitch I throw like so many others have said they do. Yesterday (playing on custom All-Star, and the sliders I tweaked didn't affect my pitching/AI hitting) I threw a few meatballs and all resulted in swinging strikes or even groundouts by the AI. I just thought I'd throw out a dissenting view on the AI power issue. They get small ball runs against me a lot more than HR's. I also avoid the middle and upper parts of the strike zone, though.
