Don't know if it's been asked for at all, but any chance a moderator (assuming one is actually reading and/or moderating) could get some solid information for the consumer regarding the Card Collection/Game and relay it to us via the forum? I think the majority of the people playing 2K8 like the feature, but it's very frustrating trying to (A) figure it out and (B) once you build a collection it is lost that quickly...and for no rhyme or reason.
I'm sure I'll probably get some replies about "Why don't you check the forum for similar posts"...I have, but all I've found are hunches and theories, nobody seems to know anything for certain. I don't know that anyone has the system figured out. H3ll I've gotten to the point four or five times where I think I know what is going on and then BAM they are all erased. Things I'm looking for:
1 - are the servers directly tied to your card collection...and if they are why do we get penalized by 2K having server issues? Seems that once I get a significant of cards I lose them because of the inability of 2K to keep their servers online. I don't think it's right that our collections get "reversed synchronized"...when the servers are down there are a lot of things we can't do (lobbies, league games, etc.), but the one thing we can have done is our card collections hi-jacked?
2 - what affects the way we are able to obtain cards? If we go in and customize sliders to make the game more realistic does that prohibit us from earning cards?
3 - it sounds like some players had one set of goals in order to obtain their card, but those goals changed once they changed teams. I've read where Johan Santana's goals were one thing with the Twins and another with the Mets, I haven't corroborated, but it might be true.
4 - if you earn a card for a player, then that player changes teams what happens to the card, does it transfer, go away, do I have to earn it again?
5 - buying, trading, etc...some clear concise rules would be nice
I'm sure I can figure some of the last few things out on my own, or with the help of other users of this forum, but again the purpose of this post is to request complete instructions for the Cards.
