I have been working on getting a good set of sliders and think I finally have them about right. I am having good games with different scores and not a bunch of homeruns and triples. I have played 4 games with these and lost 4-3, lost 6-4, lost 2-0 and won 9-4. I have gotten from 1-7 K's a game.

You might want to indicate what the default sliders are for each category, so we can see how your game differs from the core game.

Yay! 260 posts in 2008!

There's too many stats here for me to comment on individually, but you might want to base your categories' values on the Elias Sports' Bureau's official ratios and scale them accordingly.

Also, I don't know what some stats mean, such as pitcher difficulty?

I dont think it matters what the default is the number is the number of clicks to the right from 0. It ends up being Custom Pro though.

Well, that would allow us to know if you are supplying additional batting contact, power, skill points to the game or taking them away. The same goes for pitching, defense, etc.

Well overall I dont think I am making it easier or harder just more realistic. There are more singles and less triples and homeruns. Anyway, the game is fun now, I was getting tired of having a HR Derby everygame and having to keep trying to fix the sliders to get something decent.

I've been playing on Pro difficulty, but adjusted the slider bar for Pitches in the strike zone when ahead, behind, etc., and it has tightened my games a little. My team ERA is in the upper 2's, but my K's on offense have went up. I don't actually swing at every single pitch anymore, due to the pitchers actually throwing some outside the zone.

Yeah, that is one of the main things to change, I manage to draw a walk or two every game now. I use the default batting view with zoom at 0 which helps me read pitches better.
