For those that know my post history, known I've been a huge slider type guy, due to I need to tweak some/certain/indivual sliders so I can try to achieve those professional MLB stat results for my gameplay. There is one thing that you may have or not of noticed in MLB 2K8 Custom R, P, A or L sliders.
I'll keep it brief as possible:
2K8 offers 4 difficulty levels, Rookie/Pro/Allstar & Legend, Now once you select a set difficulty there is one thing that you may or may not of noticed once you exceed pass a certain pre determined gauge.
Legend = Custom L or Custom A:
Decreasing Primary Characterstic or Gamebreaking Custom L sliders (Hum/AI Batting/Pitcher Fielding and Running Skills) past a certain gauge will now make it Custom "A" (Allstar) Once you are in Custom A, all sliders on every page will now be labled and recognized by the CPU as Allstar when it comes to player cards reward percentages.

Increasing Batting Skill causes effect
Increasing Batting contact cause effect
Increasing Batting Power causes effect
Decreasing Infield & Outfield Erros causes effect
Decreasing Throw Meter Diffculty causes effect
Increasing Infield & Outfield speed causes effect
Increasing Infield & Outfield reaction speed cause effect
Decreasing Total Control Pitching causes effect
Cecreasing Pitch Speed causes effect.
Everything else in this menu does not interfere with the Custom L settings
AI Slider Menu
Increasing AI Infield and Outfield Errors causes effect
Increasing AI Infied and Outfield causes effect
Decreasing AI Stealing success causes effect
Decreasing AI Infield or Outfield Reaction Speed causes effect (Only 1 can be decreased)
Everything else in this menu does not interfere with the Custom L settings
