This thread is to name players who have the wrong skin tone in the game. Put the players name down (fake names if minor leaguer) and what the skin tone should be. They will work to fix these in one of the roster updates.

Wouldn't it be cool when we change the player's name, the pic also suddenly changes according to real players. haha

Harvey Garcia from the Marlins (AA Carolina) is a white blue eyed guy in the game but in reality he is a very dark skinned Hispanic who looks a lot like the Shane Youman face and skin tone, or the Clint Roban (CWS single A team pitcher).

Anderson Hernandez, Mets AAA 2B is white in the game but even his profile picture shows that he is a dark Hispanic.

Davern Hansack from the Red Sox AAA pitchers has a dark skinned face and white arms.

Andruw Jones is waaay too light skinned.

Jair Jurrjens from the Braves is too light skinned and he looks nothing like him. He should have Luis Medoza's face (TEX AAA pitcher).

Jay Marshall (OAK AAA pitcher) should actually have the face that they gave Harvey Garcia.

Mark Lowe should have the Jonathan Sanders face (LAD AA pitcher).

Lance Broadway should have the Arnold Bradford face.

Neither Carlos Martinez nor Logan Kensing look right (FLA AAA pitchers). Last year ther pictures and likenesses were in the game. This year they're generic faces that look nothing like them. Carlos Martinez resembles the face they gave Marcos Carvajal (FLA AA pitcher), Marcos Carvajal resembles Bryan Corey (BOS AAA pitcher) and Logan Kensing resembles Kurt Birkins (TB AAA pitcher).

The faces for Jay Bruce, Andrew McCutchen, Evan Longoria, Colby Rasmus, Nick Adenhart, Clayton Kershaw, David Price and Adam Miller are all wrong. Jay Bruce= Rudy Cook (SD AA), Andrew McCutchen = Nook Logan's face and hair or at least Marcus Lambert (SEA AA), Evan Longoria=Mark Malone (PIT A), actually that's the only face that's even close because none of the faces look like him really. Colby Rasmus= C.J. Wilson from TEX or at the very least Simon Moeller (WSH A), Nick Adenhart= Mike Aguila (LAD A), David Price=Austin Bell (ARI AA), Adam Miller= Zac Perry (COL AA).

Carlos Triunfel's generic character is way too light, Wladimir Balentien is all wrong. It should be Brent Mount (CHC A) and Aaron Gosling (SEA AAA) respectively.

The generic guy for Chris Volstad is all wrong. It should be Danny Hampton (BAL A).

The generic guy for Jeff Samrdzija should have long hair. Loooooong hair like Bronson Arroyo.

Jason LaRue should have longer hair, Sergio Mitre should have long hair and a goatee, Todd Helton needs his long goatee, and so many other players need long hair.

Come on!!! Travis Buck' hair is sooo wild and long, how did his crazy blonde long hair not make it into the game?

Andrew Miller doesn't have a goatee.

Hopefully guys like Javy Lopez and all the other generic guys like Dustin Hermanson, Juan Gonzalez, Tony Womack, Hayden Penn, and all those guys that were taken out but left in as generic guys will be back in the game with their pictures in the game too.

I agree, especially the players who had pics and correct faces last year. There is no excuss to omit them this year. A player never loses his membership to the players association once he is in it. The generic players should all be included as their real life counterpart as they have mlb servicetime. Maybe it will be corrected with the roster update.

Juan Gonzalez is in the game?

No, but he should because he is on the Cards' spring training roster right now. He should at least be in their minor leagues. He is a member of the MLBPA.

Holy craps, is that what his name was, Aaron Gosling? I was wondering who this Albert Grant on AAA was, and he was one of the good players too.

Thanks for letting me know who he was, this was driving me crazy. :rotfl:

Also, Brent Garnder (Yanks AA, although might make ML roster out of spring) should be white and they have him black. Not to mention, he is the fastest guy in the Yankees system and his speed is pretty generic. If you are gonna play him it is only fair to give him 95+ steals and 90+ speed, 2K missed the boat on his scouting report.

Anyone notice that Joba Chamberlain looks nothing like him either but a guy like Micah Bowie or Randy Keisler gets his own CG profile pic and correct face? Joba Chamberlain was nasty last year and he should have had his real profile pic and face. If Ian Kennedy and Clay Buchholz got a picture, if Brendan Wood and Hunter Pence, if Ryan Braun and Michah Owings got their little CG profile pics and likenesses, Joba Chamberlain should have too. He was just as good as most of them last year. Either way, hopefully by this roster update they will fix that stuff and we can even get correct capped profile pics for guys like Bobby Abreu, Alfosnso Soriano, Kevin Gregg, Adam LaRoche, Scott Rolen, Jim Edmonds, Jose Vidro, Jamie Moyer, Ronnie Belliard, Dimitri Young, and all the tons and tons of guys who are in the wrong uniform for their profile pics. For that, they should have just made everyone's profile pic either a CG rendering, or a card. That way they could put any cap they wanted to and even change them when a trade or free agent signing occurred.

Also, I have complied quite a list of top prospects (according to ESPN's top 100 prospects of 2008 list) and have searched through the game to find the best possible faces to suit them. I have found decent faces for just about all 100 of them. It took me some time but I did it, and it got me to thinking...Instead of me having to change a minor leaguer's name, height/weight, age, potential, and everything else in order for him to be the correct looking prospect, I think they should just open up the option in the edit player feature to allow you to change a player's face to any face in the game. That way, we are the ones who can set the face we think most looks like a Jay Bruce, or Evan Longoria, or Joba Chamberlain. it would be up to us to make these guys look the way we feel best suits them with the right face and hair. No longer would David Price and Barry Bonds have the same face, nor Clayton Kershaw and Adam Miller, or Jay Bruce and Nick Adenhart. Our prospects, our soon to be superstars would be more individual in that they don't look like 5 other guys on the same team and they could actually resemble their real life counterpart. All that the 2k people have to do is open up the option box in the edit player, the way it is in the create player, and allow us to use any face in the game, and that would solve all these skin color, or face disputes. It's win-win. All they have to do is open up the option and we do all the work an get to have the faces that we think look best. Does anyone agree with me on this point?

I just noticed a few other wrong skin colors in the game.

Brian Barton in StL. is white when he is actually a black man with Nook Logan hair, Lou Michaels who is supposed to be Lee Mitchell on FLA is tan and hispanic looking when he is actually very white, American looking. Jai Miller or Jake Milky as he is named in the game is a white guy when in reality Jai Miller is black. Carlos Triunfel (who is named Cesar Tobias) in SEA is a tan Hispanic when he is actually just as dark as David Ortiz. Again Harvey Garcia FLA was made a white guy when he is as dark as Shane Youman. I am wondering if 2k even looks at pictures of these guys before setting them as a specific minor leaguer. Zac Justice as Zach Jackson is awful, there is no Sean Burnett, Jay Marshall looks awful, Rick Vanden Hurk looks nothing like him, and don't even get me started on the Colby Rasmus generic guy. They seriously don't look at these guys. Barry Bonds looks awful. That Joe Young in no way resembles Bonds. I know he is not supposed to be in the game, but come on, at least give us something better than that. Same goes for Roger Clemens. Wow.

First, I have to second the person who discussed Travis Buck. Without his unique hair, he looks like some average schmuck.

Curt Young, the A's pitching coach, is definately white and not black. Not sure how you messed that one up.
