My xbox did the red light thing last week. How long does it usually take for MS to fix it? They are sending me the box right now that I ship the xbox back in...

My system did the red ring thing about 2 weeks ago.
I was surprised becasue I don't play mine that much and I didn't have it on for long.
Well at least I didn't think so. I realized it never fully turned off and was still running.
So I unplugged it for about 4 hours to make sure it was cool.
I haven't seen it since.
Again, I don't play mine for hours upon hours upon hours so for that situation i can't help.

It takes about 2-3 weeks, be warned you may not get yours back...I sent mine in back in September and they sent me a different one all together.

Oh yea? Well I know I'm not sending in my hard drive, so at least I'll have all my saves. I suppose I won't really care if its a different one unless its dirty/has giz stains on it.

dont be hoping you will get it back in a week. it takes about 3 days for it to accually get to microsoft. then probably about a week to acually get to your xbox and fix it then another 3 days to send it back to you. also this is all business days weekends dont count. when i sent mines away it took about 2-3 weeks but i sent it like a week before christmas and got it back before new years.

I sent mine back last year, around July I think, and got it back in about a week and a half. If it's the 3 red lights, like yours is, I think they just ship out a different one right away. If it's another issue, it would take longer, because they would actually look into it and try to figure out what's wrong.

i wouldn't kid you Brownster14.
it was less than a week for me, it may depend on where you live. for Texas (OUsooners1828's) and Maryland, it's a week or less.

Have you seen the 'city' Hopkins is building near the main hospital?
Is every doctor and nurse moving here?
