At first glance this game is fun. I have it on Wii and the reality of swinging and throwing is great. Then I started to play it a little and it became apparent that this video game is the most horrible game ever when it comes to bugs and other problems. It is still fun but with the bad problems it is more a pian in the butt then anything else.

<<<In-game problems>>>
1. I hit a three run homer and it gives me one run.
2. I hit a solo home run it gives me zero runs.
3. I pick off at first when there are runners on first and third and the runner steals home. Now, that is really good AI but the problem is I couldn't throw home, It wouldn't allow me to.
4. I missed the green zone and every other zone on a pitch, my pitcher freezes and the runner on first steals second. If the pitcher freezes so should the runner right?
5. I strike a batter out on a pitch on the outside corner and the runner takes off to first. the ball never bounced and the batter never swung.
6. The stats are never completely right at the end of the game so when you are doing a franchise your stats become either weakened or skewed.
7. Oh, and I have tried everything I can to cut down on hitting a homer every time I make contact but nothing works. For instance, I used the Orioles against the Cooperstown team on the hardest level and hit 26 home runs. That is ridiculous.

<<<Franchise Mode Problems>>>

These are the problems that I have encountered

IF YOU SAVE THE FRANCHISE AND SHUT OFF YOUR SYSTEM, ERRORS OCCUR IN THE SAVED DATA. ONLY DO ERRORS OCCUR AFTER YOU TURN YOUR SYSTEM OFF. ***IF YOU SAVE YOUR FRANCHISE, EXIT THE FRANCHISE AND RELOAD YOUR FRANCHISE WITHOUT TURNING YOUR SYSTEM OFF OR EJECTING THE DISC, THEN THERE WILL BE NO PROBLEMS.

If you start a franchise, save it, turn off your system, and try to play it after turning the system back on then you will have problems. Franchise problems occur once you hit playoff time. There will not be a 7 game, 5 game, or 3 game series. There will be only one game played per playoff series. It doesn’t matter what playoff series setting you have it set on or with what team you’re playing with. I thought that this wasn’t that big of a deal but was a little bummed that the series’ weren’t series’ at all.

After you have finished all the off season tasks and you start a new season, the season doesn’t schedule correctly. THERE WILL ONLY BE TEN GAMES SCHEDULED FOR EACH TEAM. Once again it doesn’t matter which team you are since I tried them all.

I then figured that I would try a different season length to see if that was the problem. THE SAME THING HAPPENED.

<<<TROUBLE SHOOTING>>>
Step 1 - Create a new franchise completely
Step 2 - Open the old franchise you are trying to fix
Step 3 - The franchise should operate correctly

I have now tried your troubleshooting advice in the order that you mentioned and the original franchise works until you shut your system off again. It sucks that I have to create a new franchise every time that I turn my system on just so I can play my original franchise. That is ridiculous. Why the heck wasn’t this found before you sent the game out. This is the worst bug I’ve personally encountered in a game.

You guys need to step it up bug time or EA should get the nod after this fiasco.

Hey, what can you expect when trying to play a Next Gen game on an old gen box. I mean, seriously, a Wii?!

That's your opinion but it shouldn't matter that is horrible business. They have testers for a reason.

Yeah . . . you're probably right. Not that the Xbox 360 has any less bugs . . . and forget about trying to play online. But at least it seems like they are trying to work on a patch to fix this. But I don't think they're working on a patch for a Wii.

I don't know if there is anything that they can do other then tell us that we are going to have to create a new franchise every time we want to play in order for things to work properly. It's just stupid...

I seriously am starting to think they didn't test the game for even 10 minutes. For all versions to have so many bugs and to be built off of different engines it shows which department needs to have people fired or else doesn';t have enough people in that department.

Yeah it's bad, I've said this before though. MLB 2K8 is almost MLB 2k6 for the Gamecube, they just added a roster update, some new presentation, and incredible hard to read menus.
