Don't know if this has been answered yet but I remember somebody asking if you can get wild cards while playing with your minor league teams. The answer is yes, today while playing with my AA team I got 3 base hits in a row and recieved the wild card for getting a single. I don't think it'll be as easy to get these in the minors as it would be with the majors but it does happen.

By the way, I was using custom sliders and received 0 wild cards, I switched it to straight up All-Star and have received like 10 in 4 games. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Wish 2k would take some note and realize this is a bad feature. As long as the difficulty is Custom-P one should be able to earn wild cards.

The card feature isn't bad, that aspect of it is.

i just dont like that if you use your own sliders you cant earn wild cards... the only way that should be is if they would actually give you working sliders and not horribly thrown together ones

In all truthfullness though, I used my own sliders, I was custom All-Star. I thought I got really good at hitting and pitching so I bumped it up to straight All-Star. Fairly similar I think, only real difference I've noticed is they take advantage a little more. I've had 2 seam fastballs where I just missed the release by a little bit hang over the plate and still blow by the hitter. That still happens but your Adam Dunn's and such take you out. To me is realistic because that's what they do, I can make mistakes to Cesar Izturis and get away with it but not Pujols. I've won my fair share of games on All-Star and lost them. I've won games that were 9-5 and 3-1 and lost games 2-0 and 16-4. Still realistic cause sometimes teams are gonna rock you but for the most part it's balanced. In my opinion, you need good pitching and timely hitting, just like real baseball. Yes the AI throw and extreme amount of strikes but so do I, I average about 5 balls per game and they average 3, can't really complain I guess cause I'm no different than the AI really. Just my thoughts.
