First off I'd like to get confirmation that this works. I don't want to make a claim without knowing it helped someone else...after all, I've had a couple beers.
I play on a 360 and I have everything on....VIP, replays, cut scenes, etc. The only thing I did was turn the audio to On the Field. I'm sick of the boring commentary and just wanted to listen to my favorite classic rock station but still have the field noises.
Anyway, I wasn't getting any jumping in the replays or cut scenes and I was before. Also no weird flashes on the screen. Everything seemed much smoother. I would say it was close to flawless. The only thing I noticed is there was still a little jumping when a ball was thrown...nothing terrible, though. I'm close to the end of the game and am curious if this will help with the post game replays and whatsuch. I'll let you know.

Hmm, do you have beer goggles already??? LOL! Speaking of which, a beer sounds good right about now..LOL!
Now seriously, I'll have to give this a try. Maybe with less we get more. I'd rather do this than turn off the VIP.

Does it help with the online lag?

this was done offline...couldn't tell you about online.
by the way, just finished the game and the post game stuff seemed smoother...did stutter a little at one point but it was good until i pulled up the menu and i unlocked a card then it stuttered some more but i would say overall much smoother because the post game was pretty bad.

Works.
Maybe 2k can hire you and feed you beer to do actual testing before they put this garbage out unfinished.

I switched to On Field audio a long time ago, and I also noticed a change. There's still the 2-3 second freeze at the end of a cutscene that bugs me.

Honestly, I prefer setting it to "On Field," turning the PA announcer up higher, and umps up a bit, then just set my Xbox to play some music while I'm playing.
It's a cool experience, really. Relaxed and fun...

I am not getting a better experience on PS3 as people say though. Not really sure why though...

I really haven't noticed much of a difference on PS3, but it has definately seemed like it did something just because I don't have to listen to Joe Morgan.
