New Player Portraits (Pics)?

Does anyone know if they are uploading new player pics for guys like Ryan Braun, Hunter Pence, Geovany Soto, Joey Votto, Joba Chamberlain, Kosuke F.ukudome, Rick Ankiel, Felix Pie, and sooo many more..?
Maybe they will come in the roster update on opening day, im not sure.

Just wishing to get some confirmation from Ronnie, or BL.

Im really getting annoyed of looking at Ryan Braun and seeing his generic face.

Any info will help.

I guess no one else cares about this, but I sure do. I too am hoping the same thing. Now I did read somewhere that there is supposed to be some sort of picture update with the new roster/patch, adding more player likeness or something to that tune. Don't hold me to it since we all know 2K's history of lame updates.

Yea in 2K7 Abreu had a Yankees hat on so I don't know why this year he's wearing a Phillies hat. Also love how Miller and Morgan call Joba Chamberlain "number sixty-two"

i hate seeing stuff like that... last year i think they had D Lee w/ his Marlins picture... lol

its simple to change them and it makes a big difference to the realisticness of the game...

The show has all the new pictures every year...

i hate playing franchise and Soto or Pie come up to the plate and they say "Pie" as in the food and have a generic face for both of them...i was thinking of starting a brewer franchise but i have to tell you...

first of all Brauns pic is generic which would get on my nerves eventually.. so is Corey Harts...

also have you see how OFF the color of the stadium is?

they made it sky blue? its supposed to be navy blue ... ill see if i can find a comparison

I hope that 2k realizes that they cant screw up this update. I am a huge fan of 2k but the way this game situation is playing out with the various issues, 2k has to make this an outstanding update or else they could lose whatever fans they have. The show updates rosters every week. If they goof up these rosters and then make the consumers wait until allstar break to rectify it they will surely lose more supporters. Maybe they should take an extra week and make sure they get all the players right (including skin color, name, position, player portrait, etc). Just a suggestion but coming from someone who likes to play the most realistic game possible with decent graphics having the correct players from which the game is to emulate is a must. 2k can't screw this up.

i agree...i really never liked the show but i have ps3 and theres been about 5 roster updates threw the whol espring traingin adding new players and i have 2k on my 360 its much better gameplay and graphics wise but u only has 1 roster update which waz last month....new pics for the players would be nice too...i used to love MVP baseball but u dont make it anymore and i love 2k..just if this patch isnt dead on ur loosing alot of fans

Ronnie can you please awnser this quetion 4 me before closeing this thread i would like to know if 2k sports roster guy plans to fix the player skin tones in the game most of them are in the minors

some examples i can give you is Red Sox pitcher Darvan Hansack skin is black in real life like his pic show but when you go to edit him he has a black head but white arms so in all he half black and half white

also Northwest Arkasas Naturals LF Who is soposed to be Chris Labanski is white in real life but is black in the game there are some others people have listed in a thread in the fourms with a skin tone fix so check it out if ya can and please pass it on to the roster guy

but while i am at it can you please tell me if they will fix it in this update or will we have to wait till the next one thanks ronnie

the lack of portraits for rookies that played last year was probably just a matter of running out of time (which we all understand now that we know the game was released before being completed)...so its possible they could be in the roster update. More than likely, it wont as I am sure they are busy trying to find ways to patch the other issues. this is probably last on the "importance" list.

As for John and Joe announcing "number 62"....that will continue for the life of the 2k baseball series from now on since they dont have access to John and Joe to actually announce the names of the new players/rookies each year....so if we do get a 2k9 and 2k10, each year we will have more and more generic number calls.

but again...this is understandable since there has to be a lot of time put into reducing the quality of the graphics to try and help the framrate issue. I am sure they wanted to add all the cool things most baseball fans want, but just ran out of time. next year!!

F.u.k.u.dome is not part of the MLBPA yet and therefore we can not use his name until the roster update, due out in a couple weeks.

As far as skin tones, there are no plans to release an update for that currently, but that is subject to change in the future.
