Is there a way to play a season other then Franchise mode

I don't want to deal with the money; transactions etc. Just want to set-up a season, play one team and sim the rest and track stats etc. Tourney's aren't the same of course. Is there a AI owner/manager that I can click on?

I think that the closest thing that you will be able to get to that is while in the franchise set-up screen, it has you choose how many players, number of games, what rosters, and other options. Scroll all the way down until you find something that says "GM Goal" and you will want that off. That way you won't have to worry about making x amount of dollars or signing releasing certain players. Right after that option there is another one that says: "Always offereded contract." I would think that you would want that on, although there have been complaints from other people that that option doesn't seem to work too well. The one you are concerned about though is the GM Goals. Hope everything works out for you.
