For example, since I am a Tiger fan Comerica Park has moved its bullpen over to the LF wall. This happened many years ago when management moved in the walls. The excess field space was used as the bullpen. The old bullpen was covered because they added seats on top.

Does anyone know if they look at these sites so maybe they will change them?

Being a cardinals fan, the cards dugout is on the first base line, has been for a while, easily back to the astroturf days. Yet, after every inning they are running off the field to the third base side...

I mentioned elsewhere, I am an Indians fan, and their field is now called Progressive Field, no longer Jacobs Field.

As a reds fan. Great American Ballpark added a giant Riverboat Deck in Center field to go with the smoke stacks and riverboat wheel. It is above the batters eye and used for additional seating and groups. They added that the begginning of "last" season. These are minute details yes, but the average baseball fan really enjoys the minute details.

Also, with the construction of Citi Field (Mets new grounds), you can actually see the new stadium over the left field bleachers. MLB 08 The Show incorporated this nicely. Again, nothing major, just eye candy.

I am a Brewers fan and the stadium in 2k8 is way outdated! They now have a huge video scoreboard in the LF wall, a new beer pen area behind the RF wall, both of which are not in the game. I am very disappointed in this aspect of the game.

That name change was made a couple days ago, well after the game came out. How could they have made that change?

After watching tonights Nats Braves game it would appear Nationals Field is wrong too. The fences in LF are normal height but the game has them at about 20 feet.

being a dback fan the screen in center field is the hole size of the thing now a great big screen! Also it says CHASE FIELD over the top not ARIZONA REPUBLIC now.

same with Rogers Center

the field still looks like astro-turf, now it is some kind of artificial grass that actually looks like grass, and has some kind of fake dirt underneath to mimic properties of real grass. Anyways it is too much like turf in the game. There should be out of town TV score boards on the RCF and LCF walls. Lastly, the bullpen screens do not look like that, it is all one big screen and not that east to see through

all of these changes were made about 1 month after Rogers bought the SkyDome in 2006! Why isnt this updated for 2008?!

Are you talking about the video board that's actually a part of the LF wall? Because I think that's too much for them to include... It has a lot of graphics that flash on it and stats as well as scores. That's just too much for something that's in the field of play... the game was buggy and laggy enough as it was without adding some more stuff to make it run even worse. But yea I noticed the beer pen is not in there either. It's disappointing but that's not something that bothers me too much.

Personally, I don't think the stadiums are nearly as big of an issue as the bugs, glitches, graphics that have taken at least 3 steps back, and terrible online play.

I'm sure they will fix the stadiums as soon as they fix the jersey's in the game (mets home all white). I guess having the MLB rights doesn't really mean a thing as far as being authentic. Title should be called MLB GIve me your MoneY K8. Really ****es me off that they mess up year after year with Jersey's and stadiums as well as the same old commentary. They must be taken lessons from EA.

I thought I heard one of the mods say they were going to fix these issues but I won't hold my breath. They could give a rats *** about it.

Check out as the front of the stadium scrolls by - the banners of the players - the last banner on the right as the loading finishes up is JIM THOME - identical to last year. Thome left what, 4 years ago?

It was actually 6 years ago, his last year in Cleveland was '02.

Isn't it "Centre", I do think they actually have that right in the game. I noticed your from Toronto, c'mon man I can't believe you spelled it wrong! (just joking)

The field surface you are referring to is Field Turf, many arenas/stadiums are turning to it as it has properties more like real turf, is as durable as astro-turf, but also more forgiving like real turf.

There is a Brand new MLB2K picture thread in the mlb2k8 general discussion forum that's in the works. Maybe some of you that have stadium concerns would like to post pics of what detail you are trying to point out.

The doors in the outfield wall in Wrigley Field have an annoying line of ivy that's grown along the bottom of the doors... ummm, seems to me like the outfield doors wouldn't be able to be opened with 4-5" of ivy branches growing in the way. Weird thing is, they have rendered the same doors the same way for several years now.

Minor? Yes.

Annoying? Hell yes. ;)

Starting from the first brick on top. Farthest left on the Wrigley filed left field wall.

Count 88 bricks to the right. 14 bricks down. 27 more bricks right. 4 bricks up. 3 more bricks to the right.

You will lnotice this brick is colored very brown. In real life it is actually light brown. And theres a 1 inch crack on the upper left. Of course you can only see this when the ivy isnt grown in.

I hate you 2K !!!

You people are nuts.

You people are nuts.

So people are "nuts" because they'd like to see a more realistic rendering of their home town ballparks? It can't be helped that today's gamers are more nitpicky... perhaps if more developers actually listened to their customers, there wouldn't be a need for "complaint" threads like this.

Didn't they rename the stadium in January? I think that is a bit late for them to get it done before the game came out. No?

Legends Field (a downloaded stadium) is now George Steinbrenner Field.

Dude, they renamed it 3 weeks ago...

I read about the Tigers stadium, and I think stadiums for the Reds, and the DBacks (I think, I know there were at least 3) that were pretty big screwups. Along with they way they redid the inside of the Jake (Progressive)...Some stuff I think can be forgiven, others are just really bad....I still can't believe they didn't include the jersey for the Mets that Reyes wears on the cover.:thumbsdow

Yes, Ocified the Jake was renamed Progressive Field in January, I believe the first week of, seems to me they should have been able to get that into the game, it was two months before it was released. Whatever though.

As for the Legends Field being renamed, I believe that happend a week or two after the game was released so whoever is complaining about that one they don't really have a leg to stand on.

Wasn't there something inside Progressive like they moved the picnic area or something? I know it looks pretty much the same as last years game (as far as the set-ups). But there are def a few screwy things. They may add the new name...although that would make them get Miller and Morgan to have to add 2 new words...

The picnic area out in CF has been replaced with a bar ("The Batter's Eye"). And out in LF they have a Toyota truck (I think it's a Tundra) on a lift/rack and it's the Toyota HR porch or something...been a while since I've ben at the Jake...err Prog, but I am going up for a weekend series in July.

The things you mentioned changed last year at the Jake. Also, part of the picnic area was turned into the Indians Hall of Fame last year as well. I check to see if they actually made the changes when I next plat at the Jake (Prog). Oh, and while none of the signs were up with the new name until a couple days before the season, the name and design have been around since January.

Also at the D-Backs when the roof is closed, the panels (window things in the outfield) are open. That's pretty silly, what's the point of having the roof closed to keep the heat out if you leave the windows open lol.

Also there should be an option for roof off with panels closed or roof off with panels open since they do that in real life.

Also where is the D-backs red alternate jerseys?

yea Miller Park is off by alot....

the color is very messed up... Its supposed to be Navy Blue.. and instead its a light blue .. which really makes it look awful..

Also all of the features he said are true.. i go to about 3 Brewers vs Cubs games a yr. and Miller Park looks way different than in the game...
They also need to add the Batters Eye Ivy in Center and lower the Scoreboard...

this shouldve been done in the off-season for MLB 2K8...

anyone have any mlb 08 pics or videos of Miller Park?

thanks

Thank you very much... I wasn't trying to be a jerk with my response to his comments, but it bothered me to hear that someone thinks it's crazy to want details like that in the game.

I guess it's just the perfectionist in me?

Also at Wrigley, the yellow foot markers in left, center and right are HIGH on the walls in the game, not down low where they should be.

Im a tampa bay rays fan, Not only is our field not the same color on the inside it looks different on the outside too now... There are numerous flaws... The inside walls no longer have the leaf pattern on them they are a dark green, and the Concrete has been painted dark blue..

The outside of the trop has giant baseball bats on each support...

More on the inside, they have added a little white picket fence around the top of the scoreboard all the way around, There is a giant hat in deep left field with the rays new logo on it... and the video board is like 5 times the size it used to be...

None of this is in the game, really disappointing actually....
