I've tried the 'Derek Jeter' floating around but it doesn't work.

And before you ask... I want to jump in the game and start playing with everything that's available. I'm not a 9 year old boy that wants to collect baseball cards anymore and I don't have the free time to sit and unlock everything.

I don't really understand the point of making us unlock the old uniforms

making us work for things that are apart of baseball after releasing an unfinished game is not cool.

I'm with ya Derenzy, 2K would be doing a great deed to unlock atleast all uniforms for their problems with the game thus far. Cough cough, that's a hint 2K

Maybe it is "Jose Reyes" intstead of Derek Jeter, because he is now on the cover.

I'm not 9 years old and collecting baseball cards anymore either. But I do sort of like how they've done it. It certainly reminds of when I was a kid collecting baseball cards and I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing.

I've collected a few jersey cards by trading them online for player cards that I've gotten from Wild Cards and such. I've basically just been active in the card trades and I've gotten a decent amount of unlockable stuff.

I understand the frustration with not having all the stadiums and jerseys right off the start. I wish I had them too, but I like what 2k did with the cards. I'm sure I'm in the minority of this, but I think the cards add a nice little aspect to the game.

Where can you enter cheat codes? I can't find it.

Open your card collection, press "X". A cheat-code entry screen will come up.

Let us know if you figure out the unlockable phrase. For the record, I've already tried the following:

'derekjeter'
'Derek Jeter'
'josereyes'
'Jose Reyes'
'2k8'
'2ksports'
'mlb2k8'
'2k k'

Perhaps I should have tried "frustration".

I for one, don't understand in the slightest, this card system. Have no clue what they are for. I never play online so maybe thats why. I look at them and go. "ok, so...?" LOL And I don't know how many duplicates I get, every game I win another Nick Swichser card beacuse he hit a hoemrun. WHoopee! I am playing Oakland and broght back all thie players they got rid of over the winter, a habit of Oakland's that I am frankly quite tired of. Well these guys are really good players, we better get rid of them.

But I do think it would be fun to have some old stadiums and old classic teams if they have them, and don't think its fair to make us work for them, not at $70 per game.

I `d like to play with Living Legends teams, 96-97 generation, old stadiums, and so on but probably I won`t get them because some cards are imposible to get. How to get the Piazza`s and Molina`s cards if CPU runners don`t try to steal a base????

I like cards system, but easier please! I hope somebody gets cheat code

Piazza's card is get two extra base hits, one of the easier cards. But I know what you mean about molinas card, those are ones you hope to get a trade or get in a pack or as a wild card. I tried and tried to get Omar Vizquels card to unlock some team and I couldnt do it, I eventually gave up and was extremly excited when his card showed up in a pack lol.
