I don't know if this is considered a bug, or just an error in advertising.

The minor league teams or stadiums are not available in the PS2 version of the game. All the ads and previews for the game advertised that 90+ minor league teams would be fully playable.

Will someone please explain that. Because that is the main reason I am really dissapointed. And because if they come out with a newer version of the game with Minors to fix this I would hesitently buy it.

This is the main reason I bought the game and I am very disappointed so far.

If they came out with a newer version of the game that fixes this, I wouldn't buy it. I'd expect 2ksports to exchange it for me at NO EXTRA COST.

Im still hoping that they will release some password or patch to make these teams playable. If not, this is blatant false advertising.

I do not even think they are listening to us. I think its just a cheap ploy to make us buy a PS3- Too bad I cant afford it. Maybe in a few years

Do the Moderater or leader of this thing have any answers for us?

Hate to break it to you guys, but I'm pretty sure the PS2 version doesn't have the minor league teams in it. I believe that is only for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

As far as I know, the PS2 versions the past two years have just been roster updates with no real changes in gameplay or additional features.

Yeah I though the PS2 didn't have minor leagues. They chose not to do this because of old-gen software. I know it sucks for you guys who can't buy a new gen system, but they wanted to at least release the game for old systems.

Does that mean the Wii is an 'old' system and not next-gen?

lol... why don't you guys just get next gen systems now... at this time and age i've learned to move on with thte time and traded in all my ps2 games and console for $280 trade-in value and paid less than $150 for a brand new xbox 360

This isn't the point, though.

The issue is that amazon.com, gamestop.com, bestbuy.com and just about every other online place where this game is sold, as well as the 2ksports.com web page itself quotes minor league teams and stadiums for the PS2. If you explictly say the game will have this, then it should.

I would not be ticked off if the PS2 game didn't have minor leagues, as long as they clearly don't claim it.

The issue isn't that the PS2 game has less features than the PS3/XB360 versions. It's that the PS2 game does not have features as clearly advertised.

LMAO, I smell a false advertising class action lawsuit. Great job, 2K.

BTW, what is the purpose of these boards? Is someone from 2ksports going to read and address or respond to all these issues?

I thought I did...

DO they have the total pitching controls on the Ps2 version? Does anyone know?

Ronnie,

Thanks for your response. Sorry I missed this. However, please understand my frustration and with all due respect, what you're saying, to me isn't adequate resolution.

I purchased this game based on what I read on the 2ksports and retail web pages explicitly claiming that minor leagues were part of the game, in black and white.

So I'm $30+ out of pocket when had I not been misled, I may have purchased NHL2k8, NBA2K8, MLB-The show, or another game. And as far as I know, stores do not accept returns on video games once they've been opened.

What do you propose I do?

Bumping. . .

Thanks to the support from the other posters. . .

I'd like some sort of formal response from 2ksports beyond, "it sucks for you guys".

Maybe with all the patch related issues on this board, 2ksports has elected to ignore the PS2 issue. This is not acceptable. They have released a product and are making money on it. There is an obligation to provide support for this item just as much as the PS3 and XB360 versions.

I'm sure it has to do with hard drive. I know the PS2(no hd) version of some older games were different than the Xbox(hd included) versions, skipping animated replays and stuff.

Write them a letter; tell them you're unhappy and why; and say you want a new, unopened game to return to the place of purchase for a refund. See what they say.

You won't get a response from them here BTW, I can guarantee that.
