I do not know if it is just my MLB PS2 disc or not, but the Houston Astros park Minute Maid Park stadium backgrounds flicker in, and out from black nothingness to the regular stadium graphics. Could somebody please play a game in the Houston Astro home park who owns the Playstaion 2 version, and reply if this happens with their disc or not.

It is only in one part of the park like a fence flickering in, and out. Also it was computer vs. computer playing the game. Maybe it only happens with computer vs. computer games. The silver part of my disc is completely scratch free, but the little sides of the disc looked like it had ink or small strand like fibers on it.
