OK, I like this game well enough - but just one thing bothers me. Why aren't the actual MLB schedules available in "season" mode? I found this out by setting up the Twins for a season-long campaign in MLB 2k8, only to discover that the game schedule has the team opening against the White Sox on April 2, when in actuality, they opened against the Angels, today (March 31).
Did anyone else catch this - and if so, does anyone know of a way to incorporate the actual schedules?
Thanks, in advance, for any help.

Not sure there is anything you can do about it, but the Braves have a schedule issue to in that the game they played last night isn't on the MLB 2K8 schedule. I think that might be MLB's fault though as they may have chosen to take a later game Atlanta played at Washington and moved it to the 30th so as to open their new stadium in prime time on Sunday night.

That's interesting because I started a season-long franchise mode with the Indians and I opened against the White Sox at home just like Cleveland is doing today.
This game doesn't generate random schedules for some teams does it? If so... that's pretty lame.

The schedules are not accurate for all teams. The Nationals and Braves schedules do not have them opening the season in D.C., they have their season opener on Monday vs Phillies (for the Nats) and the Pirates (for the Braves). Oh well...

That might just be a result of MLB making a late scheduling decision to move up one of the Braves/Nats games to last night.
But yeah... if the Twins schedule opens against the ChiSox... then that really is wrong with no excuse for it being that way.

You may have to look deeper into the schedule, because CHI opened at CLE last season too. (or at least tried to... those were the games that were "snowed out")

Cleveland opened AT Chicago last season. The snowed out games were with Seattle and the following series with the Angels (I believe it was LA) was moved to Milwaukee.
This is the fourth year in a row that the Indians have opened against the White Sox, but the first time in those years that they have opened at home in Cleveland.

This is odd I actually think that downloading the content provided on the market place fixes the schedules. a buddy of my is a huge Redsox fan and his schedule on the game was wrong but it is right on mine. The twins are my favorite team and their schedule is right. I have downloaded all the extra content and online roster he selected only a couple of the extra content offered. I think it has a schedule update involved.

Another minor mistake, it says the Marlins opening day is Tuesday, when it's today.

Oh ok thanks, I remember them opening against each other, but for some reason I was thinking those were the postponed games.

The Twins franchise schedule is fine! I haven't seen the season schedule but maybe you just want to play a franchise.

Yeah... easy to confuse when we've seen those stinkin' Sox so much on opening day the last four years. It's about time to play someone else... I am real tired of seeing them.
