Do you have to be logged in to the internet to get cards? I was logged into VIP but not the internet last nite and got 9 put outs w/Adam Kennedy. To get his card you only need 6 put outs. Maybe his card is just screwed up. I didnt think you had to be signed into xbox live to get the cards.

You do have to have your VIP signed in, you don't have to be connected to XBL to get cards, but you do have to be connected to trade, sell and buy packs.

When you're in a game, pause and check the "Card Checklist" option in the menu. If it's grayed out, you're ineligible to win any cards for that game. This tends to happen if you're not logged in to your VIP, if you stop the game and continue it later, if you change certain options, change sides, etc.

so just to confirm if you change say the pitching speed to lower on the sliders and nothing else, you are not able to get any cards for that game?

basically, you can only get cards if you use the default sliders for pro, all-star etc.??

I've never connected to the net and am able to sell cards and buy packs, also redeem wild cards. The question now is if I do go on-line will it say by cards are out of date and I will loose all of them?

Really? I tried to sell mine and it said you must connect to XBL. I'll have to try again. As far as the update your cards message, i clicked on yes to update them and still have them. It might be if you traded with someone and the new cards were there while you were'nt logged in? and when you did log in it just had to update? Just a guess

You can still earn player cards with custom sliders, wildcards too, but the chance of getting a wildcard which is low to begin with is even lower. This is straight from Ronnie Singh.

Once you sign into XBL or PS3 Online for the 1st time, your cards are (for lack of a better term) posted online. For me on PS3, I have to get online once before it'll let me redeem wild cards and packs. Not sure if it does the same on XBL
