Hey guys, do any of you know of any sites that explain what a particular pitch does and how it effects the opposing batter. For example what is a 12-6 curve, and when is the best time to use it? Also do you follow the catchers recommendations during the game or do you choose your own pitches, obviously this is when you don't have the Inside Edge scouting report. I have the mechanics of the pitch down 'pat', but I give up a few bad hits maybe because of the 'wrong' pitch I threw. Any help would be great. Thanks.

A 12-6 curve is one that breaks straight down. Most curveballs break at an angle, if a right handed pitcher throws to a right handed hitter with a normal curve it will break away from the hitter. A 12-6 curve starts at 12 o clock and breaks straight down to 6 o clock. As for the using the catcher, I don't use IE and most of the time I use what the catcher puts down. Usually I use my own pitch for the strikeout but for the most part I use his choice. As for the wrong pitch, it's gonna happen, I've had it where he calles a curve and I go change up and strike him out or he calls slider and I go fastball and it gets jacked. Just the way it is.
