No, your team salary has to be under 150 mill, and the plat. cards just cost less. A Black card for a player might be 15 mill, gold might be 10 mill, and Plat. might be 5 mill.

Gold cost's half the price of black and platinum costs half the price of gold. At least I think that's how it is.

None of them give the player any better abilities or anything like that, it's just the cost of them to have on your team. If you have nothing but platinums for your team, you can pretty much have anyone you want on your team.
