Bringing out the manager?

Does anybody know if you can bring out the manger to argue calls? and if you do know could you please reply? THX

Yes you can, but it needs to be prompted by the computer which doesn't really seem to happen to often. One way for sure to get a player tossed and have the option is to use your pitcher to bean a guy or two in the head. He will get tossed and you will have the option to argue. Other than that, it is pretty rare and of all the games that I have played on this thing so far, which is closing in on 70, I have only seen it once other than in the situation that I have described above.

Yup, same here. I've played about 40 games offline, only once was I prompted to argue a call. When I was prompted it was because of the screwd up fielding momenteum in this game. Too often you can throw a batter out from right field before he reaches first base. This is ridiculous. I've never seen this occur in a MLB game, but I've seen this 3 times in MLB 2k8.

I've played about 50 games offline and have yet to see the AI manager come out to argue a call. There's only been a handful of times when they showed the cut-scene of the manager mouthing from the dugout, but he's never come out to argue.

Likewise, I've never even been given the chance to argue a call, even on ones that obviously looked like they were blown calls. Seems like this used to happen about every 2-3 games with 2k7.

ive played bout 50 games or so myself and have had the manger argure maybe 3 times...what ive noticed is that the arguments always occurred in a rivalry game, once I remember my manager argued when my guy was tagged up from second base in a tied late inning game...another instance I remember was I just blatently beaned two guys in a row in the head, I got a warning and then proceeded to hit a third guy and was promptly ejected, my manager then came out and argued...To be honest though, they dont even come close to arguing enough, I remember too in 2k7 when they would argue 2 to 3 times a game...I assume this is just another feature in 2k8 that wasnt properly tested and tweaked enough...I sure hope a future patch fixes this as well, it needs to be added into the bugs list if it hasent already...

They need to make it like MVP, you can come out anytime if you push the correct button lol
