I am looking forward to this game, but come on, is there any reason why Nadal will appear only in the PS3 version of Top Spin 3? Any response from forum administrators or game creators?

Sony paid for the exclusive.

Yeah, that's a bunch of crap. If one game has it, the others should. I don't care if they paid for it or not, that just isn't right.

Hi! to all,
Yes! it's a real bummer about Nadal only being in the PS3 version.
Usually I would want to get this game on the Xbox 360, for two reasons:
1) I've always played Top Spin on an Xbox console, Top Spin (Original Xbox) & Top Spin 2 (Xbox 360)
&
2) It's always nice to have the achievements to go for on the Xbox 360 version
But, I have to admit that now I know that Nadal is only in the PS3 version I'm very tempted to get the PS3 version instead.

Yes, I am sorry to Nadal is exclusively signed (in my opinion a mistake for his wallet, fans, etc.) to Sony and therefore will only be in the PS3.

you know that don't really bother me to much on the Nadal thing, i have both the 360 and ps3 and there's no way im buying the ps3 version just for Nadal. Live is 10 time better for multi player than the ps3 could hope for and other than getting a pretty good Baseball game this year all other ps3 sports games just stand in the 360 shadow. i would at least get some reviews on actual game play and performance before i would get the ps3 version if you have both consoles.

Let's not start a console war over this please.

yeah, maybe after some months they put Nadal on the Live Marketplace... BTW, no console war here... just was asking the reason as I haven't seen anything like this before.
Are there any plans to have Djokovic, Tsonga, Ferrer, Davydenko, etc as downloadable content? As I see, in 2k Sports website, they have a poll for Top Spin 3, but the only option that makes sense for tennis lovers, is Agassi/Sampras... come on, having a NBA, MLB player in a tennis game???

I was really looking forward to this game, but I only own a 360. For them to make Nadal, one of the prominent players in the sport, exclusive to one system, instead of just having say a classic star like Becker be exclusive (which would make much more sense), I will not now purchase this game out of principle.
Seriously, no one is going to buy a Ps3 if they don't have one to get Nadal in Top Spin. This move makes no sense whatsoever and only screws over the 360 video gamer. It does more harm than good.

Let's hope the create-a-character mode is so deep, we can create a realistic Rafael Nadal.

Is 2k going to include a different pro to replace Nadal on the 360 version, like Djokovic or Gasquet?

Be grateful you don't own a copy of 2k's baseball game for the ps3. There is no patch or roster update for the ps3 owners though the 360 guys already have both.

sorry Ronnie it wasn't a attempt to start a war on here, my apologies.
which brings me to distauma point. i don't really think most people would go out and get ether PS3 or 360 for a tennis game regardless of who was in it but people that have both the 360 and PS3, like me are not buying PS3 sports games because they play better on the 360 both single and multi player and appears that more effort has gone into it, so they have to fight this some way and in topspin 3 there fighting it by giving you Nadal.

again, to reiterate what Ronnie said earlier in this thread, Nadal signed exclusively with Sony. 2K had nothing to do with it. Obviously we'd love to include Nadal in all platforms, but unfortunately our hands are tied.
