roster question about downloadable content

From the interview with Gamespot, it seems that downloadable content will indeed be implemented in the form of "additional players, equipment, new clothing, and things like that"
So it seems to me that all of the frustration(including mine) over the roster will eventually be resolved which is probably why we have been asked what players we are looking forward to seeing who are not currently in the game.

Personally I would like to see legends like Sampras, Aggasi, Lendi, Graf, Navratilova, and Evert added as well as current players like Novak Djokovic, the Williams sisters, Richard Gasquet, Marcos Baghdatis, Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic, and Marion Bartoli.

My question really is how far into the future will we have to wait for downloadable content in the form of new players and are there any indications of who some of these players both current and legends may be?

Can we get an answer to the original poster's question? Or an estimate as to how long after the game is released will it be before more pros are added for download.

And will there be a larger poll for a list of tennis players( not NBA, MLB, NFL, etc.) so fans can have some input into who is added?

There is an easy way for 2K Sports to sell 10.000 extra copies just here in Sweden. Just Put John Mcenroe in the game and let us play Borg-Mcenroe on the centercourt of Wimbledon.That would be HUGE!!!

I like top spin i think it's a very complete gameplay wise game but i would love for them to add 4 packs of DLC it would pay for itself if you released one every two weeks or month. Personally it's frustrating that a game that only comes out every 2 or 3 years can't sign more players for once i'd like to be able to play a 4 round tournament without adding girls. This is how i think you could package more players and make money with this list of stars.
These open so many different kinds of matches and even better make doubles that much more fun with these great pairings 2k could easily make it's money back with the release of these players. If they cant i sure hope that they have alot of spots for created players

Maybe if EA completes this buyout Top Spin 4 will have a bigger budget to land more pro players. Otherwise we can probably expect all tennis games, regardless of developer, to have only a handful of top pros.

Don't hold your breath for any downloadable content or players. Based on the baseball experience, where it's been 3 months and nothing yet, we won't be seeing much until Top Spin 4 comes out.

Well, but if TS3, as probably will be, is the most realistic and completely tennis experience ever seen for a game, they could add downloadable contents to make its life longer and the users happier for the new players, courts or equipment, without needing to think a new TS4 so soon...
I suppose this policy will be also influenced by the number of copies sold...but i hope so much to have tennis players like Sampras, Agassi, Djokovic, Davydenko, Williams sisters, Ivanovic, Jankovic, and Wimbledon court...

Could someone please tell me why Mario Ancic and Mark Philippoussis are in the game? I mean Ancic is not nearly good enough to deserve a place in this game and Philippoussis hasn't played a meaningful game in nearly a decade. Hell I thought he retired!

they should have atleast top 30 players, fifa and pro evo manage to get hundreds of players in their games so i dont no why a tennis game cant be the same!
