This is not listing your all-americans in your legacies. Heck they might not even been an all-american in your legacy. If people read my legacies in the past they see that after a couple of years I like to post my Favorite team of players from all my schools I coached at. Some aren't that good, but were beasts early on.

I know that other people have started threads of their favorite players, or the best players in their legacy. This is a thread to list of the what-if we had a team. I might even just edit the people after we are done and put it on 2k share so people can see how it would turn out if people are interested.

So before people start posting their favorite player or someone who is doing great right now we have to lay down some ground rules first.

Criteria:

1. Player has to finished at least one year in a legacy.
2. Can be on any size team, but had to have an impact on the team.
3. Submit players name and stats for all the years he was on the team.
4. For a freshman he has to leave after his freshman year to make First-Team if not he will go under Freshman Team.

Since this is for everyone to post on. This is just the simple outline for it right now. If you feel there should be more criteria or a change of one of the above go ahead and put it in. We will do this for a first, second, and third team.

As of now there are people in contention for First-Team All-Americans:
PG
SG Carlton McNurlin (Norfolk St/Ned84)/ Obi Muonelo (Oklahoma State/boomosby50)/ SG Torrance Timothy (Howard/boomosby50)
SF Andy Akpan (Boise State/Deuce223)/ Olu King (Miami-Ohio/CincyFan)/ SF Kyle Koncz (Princton/Superjames1992)

what position was McNurlin neb84?

Neb84

He was a SG

jjredick4
April 15th, 2008, 01:31 PM
gotta add Haas (SG) to this, won a national championships when he was a SO & JR,(he had like 34 points, 23 assists in the N.C.) won every major award after his FR year, also made it to the 2nd round after his FR year with a very undersized team I might add. now he's in the NBA making millions and winning awards/championships

boomosby50
April 15th, 2008, 02:18 PM
yeah u should add Haas. I have a question though. I had some legacies that I didn't post and I wanna nominated some guys from it. Obi Muonelo from Oklahoma St. (he is a sophomore in the first season) and I think you should put Grimball from vikingfan's and maybe Torrance Timothy from mine, but boost his rating to 67

CincyFan
April 15th, 2008, 02:38 PM
yeah you can nominate them just put there stats so people can choose if they should be on the first team or not.

Obi Muonelo: 3 seasons, averaged 23.4 PPG, was POTY in Senior year, all-american JR and SR year. led Oklahoma St. to a final four appearance and two Big 12 championships.

Torrance Timothy: So far into the 2nd seaosn, Timothy is averaging 25.2 PPG for his career, was named 2nd-team all American freshman year and was MEAC player of the year 2007-08 season at Howard. Led his team to an NCAA 2nd round appearance and MEAC regular season and conference championsip. McNurlin who?

Both SGs. If I had to pick one, I would go with Timothy because I play 1 minute less per half with him

Well, here is Kyle Koncz who I had for one year at Princeton. He had a career-high 53 points in his final game on Senior Night.

Here are his statistics:

Player PT/G R/G A/G S/G FG% 3P% FT%
K. Koncz 18.6 4.7 1.6 1.3 46.4 45.4 83.6

Yeah, it was a while back on the final game of the 2007-2008 season and I posted a ton on that day so you may have missed it. Now I am in the 2008-2009 season.

Anyways, here is the link to it if you would like to read about it.

once we get about 5 or so names for a position I will post a new thread for a poll for 3 days. At the end of that 3 days the one who gets the most votes will be the winner and will be placed on the First team AA list. The rest will then be in another vote for second team and so on.

Aron Thompson
Center
Long Island
Freshman
10 minute quarters

Only played one full season with him, and now that my file is corrupted, cant get official data. When I played the games, he averaged 28 points a game. His career high was 43, and in the NCAA tournament run, he had 35 in two straight games, including a big win vs Louisville. Averaged about 3 blocks and 7 rebounds a game. Since i simmed, his points went down to like 22, but he won every player award in the Northeast Conference all as a freshman. He was 2nd behind a Florida player for National Freshman of the year. this was my 2nd season in the legacy, so I dont know who the Florida player was. Also shot 73 percent for the season and 71% for free throws. thats all i had written down

does the person with the legacy have to nominate it? Cause if they don't I nominate Grimball for vikingfan, maybe Durovic for you CincyFan, Haas for jjredick4, Harrison Mayes for blue_apocalypse and we need to find some more at PG and PF

CincyFan
April 15th, 2008, 06:43 PM
no you don't have to have the legacy with the nominations. However I would like the stats of the player so when we hold the votes we know how they did in the season or career so we can decide who should make the first team.

Personally my vote would be that we make it a career All-American team. Everyone is going to have someone who dominated for a season especially in year 1 and year 2 before they land better recruits. However I think to make the All-American Legacy team you need at least 3 years of stats to be eligible.

My problem is I play so balanced that none of my guys normally put up huge # to make a team like this. I have had some amazing players but most avg 12-15 ppg over the course of a season.

I like that idea that it has to be at least 3 years of stats to be eligible. See thats the good thing about voting people onto the first team or what not. Your guy might be a 25 ppg and 12 rebounds but your teammates were horrible so that is why you brought in big numbers.

Say then we nominate your guy who has 13 ppg and 7 rpg but was on 2 NC teams and was one of three or four all star players on the team. In the end it doesn't matter how good your stats are, which is why I asked how your team did, but who thinks should deserve to be on it.

Updating Aron Thompson. In his only season, he lead Long Island to the Final 4. LIU's regular season record was 30-4 (20-1) And then we won 4 to get to the Final 4, and then lost to USC. Aron Thompson was the point leader, but Jaytornah Wisseh and Ron Manigault also made All Conference becuase Wisseh lead the league in Assts, and Manigault a great all around player

I like that idea, that way it can't just be one good season.

We could even make a Legacy Hall of Fame, as well.

We could even make a Legacy Hall of Fame, as well.

That is where I am trying to take it. And if we get enough people to make a first, second, third, and rookie team that maybe I could upload the players on a team and post on 2k share so everyone can see the reason why they were voted on and whatnot.

Still a work in progress and we still need candidates so once we get enough names we will see where we can go from there.

i had a guy named Desmond McCray 6'9" SF on a Texas State legacy that I recruited from Compton, California he played with me for 3 years averaging 27.3 PPG 8.3 RPG 5.3 APG and 3.7 Steals Per Game He won numerous national award including 2x 2K Sports Player of the year, Freshman of the year, and 2 National Titles

Okay so here is the deal

I know he doesn't have the type of # that some of the guys have had throughout the legacys on the board, but I nominating G. Isham to the All Legacy team.

A 7'2 Center, he could flat dominate when needed, however like every Boise team no 1 player is above the team. So Isham finished his 2 yr career avg 16.5 ppg 6.4 rpg 1.2 apg .7 spg 2.0 bpg. His career high was 34 points 17 rebounds 5 assist 3 steals and 5 blks.

He led the Broncos to a Elite 8 winning National Freshman of the Year was First team All-WAC and Freshman of the Year in the WAC. He was also the Conference Player of the Year as a Freshman. As a Soph he battle injuries missing 3 weeks of the year but still came back to lead the Broncos to a National Title scoring 20 pts in the title game.

I have a first team All-Freshman nomination.

SF Harrison Mayes 6'8 213lbs San Jose State University
Freshman Stats
24.9ppg, 2.0rpg, 0.8apg, 0.8spg, 0.3bpg, 51% fg, 44% 3pt, 70% ft

Awards in Freshman Year
Mid-Major Player of the Year
NCAA Freshman of the Year
Second-Team All American
Freshman All American
WAC Player of the Year
WAC Freshman of the Year
First Team All WAC
Freshman All WAC

Brief Resume
Harrison Mayes became a star very quickly for Coach West and the Spartans putting up incredible numbers in his freshman year. Mayes was the leading scorer on a team that consisted of other capable offensive players as well. He was a sharp-shooter from 3 point range but he had the talent to drive the basket at will and the size to finish strong once he got there. It should also be noted that he did this all while playing out of position. Although technically a shooting guard Coach West asked Mayes to play the small forward position because of his size and because the Spartans already had an established starter at the shooting guard position. He led San Jose State to their first ever WAC Championship and their first ever WAC Tournament Championship and a #5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately, the Spartans drew a tough Florida squad and could not advance past the first round but it was still a historic season for Harrison Mayes, Coach West and the rest of the San Jose State University Spartans.

blast from the past.

I have a few nominations from UCR

Ernest Carpenter - freshman SG from UCR 31.1 ppg, 1 reb, 2.3 asst
his 50 pt games were common place, winning the player of the week numerous times and was named mid-major player of the year. If not for the ill-fated train wreck (PS3 crash), there is no telling what records this young man would break and what accololades he would earn.

Johnny Walsh - PF - 20 ppg avg. He wasn't the best rated player but he was a force that helped restore UCR to prime time. 4 time All Big West team. Always in the hunt for player of the league in Big West.

Jim-George -- what team couldn't use this guy? he was the heart and soul for years. He 3-pt bombs are still sung about to this date in bars around SoCal. Though he is a longshot to be selected to any team - it is just fun to remember the good ol days!

I guess I could nominate Wendell Lalugba from my coaching legacy at Princeton. He was the player that took us from an Ivy League contender to a Final Four team his senior year. He was a great shooter and a great playmaker. I'm missing him sorely in this year's team and you'll see why as soon as I get some more updates in on my legacy (I'm six games behind, LOL). Harrison Mayes should clearly be a candidate for any hall of fame. Some argue that he was the sole reason San Jose State basketball became relevant on the national scene. Of all my legacies, I havent gone far enough to get an All-Star IMO. Tiggs had some damn good games last year, and if i could find all those stats, id post it up. Corey Haas (version 2.0)

Freshman year: 12.8 PPG, 1.3 RPG, 1.3 APG, 0.6 SPG, 0.6 BPG (coming off bench and missed 31 days/8 games)
Sophomore year: 21.6 PPG, 1.9 RPG, 1.7 APG, 1.0 SPG, 0.4 BPG
Junior year: 22.8 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 3.2 APG, 1.1 SPG, 1.2 RPG
Senior year: 18.3 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 2.4 APG, 1.2 SPG, 1.0 BPG (missed 21 days / 6 games)

Career Highs

38 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 steals, 4 blocks, and 7 three pointers.

His numbers may not be the most impressive but he led UW-Milwaukee to the sweet 16 his senior season. In the first game of that tournament scored 17 of 19 pionts to take UW-Mil. from being down by 19 to tieing the game at 93 and winning 113-112 in OT after he drained a shot with 2.2 seconds left. He finished with 28 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 block. He wasn't even the highest scorer. Davenport had 35 points, Lang also finished with 22 points.

Led UW-Milwaukee to a win over ND 100-97. UW-Milwaukee was down once again until he came in. He got the game winning shot with .8 seconds left. He brought us back, went out, ND came back to tie it then he took over. He finished with 31 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 blocks. Davenport had 25 points, Lang had 18 points. Butch also had 15 points.

UW-Milwaukee woud lose in the sweet sixteen 82-75 but Haas did all he could. He finished with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block.

He won the freshman all-conference and second team all-confernce his first year. He won first team all-conference and conference player of the year his sophomore season. Won the same thing again his junior season and was first team all-conference his senior season. His junior year UW-Milwaukee's team chemistry was at an all-time high (team unity at 77, may have gotten a little higher). His senior year the team chemistry had only improved (team unity at 85, may have gotten higher). When he missed those 5 games it showed how important he was to this team. They would go on a losing streak while he was out and be in jerpordy of not making the tournament. UW-Milwaukee would finish 4th in the conference but win the conference tournament with a win against UW-GB who they had lost to both times in the season. He led UW-Milwaukee to the NCAA tournament twice and the NIT once. He came into UW-Milwaukee just 71 overall (a 1* or 2* recruit), bad ball handling skills and couldn't really play defense. He's leaving UW-Milwaukee an 89 overall (including getting his shooting ratings up to all above 90). Improved ball handling skills to 81 (they were high 60's when he came here). He has also slowly progressed his defense from an F grade to a C-. He is projected to go as a second round draft pick.

I'm an experienced gamer in football games, but realatively new to bb games. Im playing ncaa 2k8 and have created a playbook to emphasize the 3pt. I can't figure out how the hell to apply and use my playbook in a legacy. I have tried everything, but I can't get my playbook to show up in my coach profile, so I can't use my playbook. This is probably a dumb *** question to you experienced gamers, but please tell an idiot how to apply my custom playbook to a legacy.
