We go live to a press conference at Winston-Salem State.
Dr Percy(Chico) Caldwell-"Today is both a sad day but a joyous one as we say goodbye to Coach Collins. After last sesaons 5-24 record, we have both decided it would be best to head in a different direction. However I am pleased to say we have already found his replacement. Its my pleasure to introduce AJ Dezaron as the new Head Coach of your WSS Rams.
AJ Derzaron"Thank you Dr Caldwell. First off let me tell you how excited I am to be here, I know most of you are wondering who is this guy, how did he land this job and what are his plans?"
1) Who am I
Well I am the son of the BJ Dezaron, who many of you know from his coaching days at Texas Southern,Boise State(twice)Minnesota(twice) and UNC. As you know my dad had 466 career wins by the time he was 44 and has won 4 National Titles.
2) Why did I get the job?
Even though I am only 25 and have zero prior head coaching expierence, I did work as a asssistant and head recruiter for my father well he was at Boise State and his 1 year here in North Carolina at UNC. I believe I have the ability to bring in top talent to play at Winston Salem. There are alot of great instate athletes that could looked over by the UNC,Duke,Wakes off the world because they are to busy looking at 5* ratings and not at overall talent.
3) What are my plans or goals?
Win 10 games
Win a Non-Conference Tourney
Recruit a 3* Player
The Press-Those sound like great plans, have you had a chance to meet the team and if so what do they think?
Dezaron-I have met the team and from what I can see they are excited. Even though I am not a X and O type coach like my Dad, I will still run the uptempo, crash the boards and press all the time. I feel like with the talent we have at shooting the 3pt there is no reason why we can't avg close to 80 points a game giving our fans some exciting basketball to watch.
The Press-Do you plan on making any schedule changes?
Dezaron--Not this season. The schedule is already set. However looking ahead, I do plan on proving that WSS is one of the Elite schools in Carolina basketball, so look for alot of the Non-Conferencfe games to be played in state against the likes of UNC,NC State,Duke,Wake Forest,Davidson, ect....
Well thank you I need to get to practice and get these guys going. I will annouce my starting lineup after the midnight madness.

Preo, I think it has something to do with the state, and the talent that state has. Opacic played in Ohio, who has a bunch of talent, and played very well, im guessing. So his overally is higher because of the level of talent he played. His position ranking is probably lower because that guy from VA maybe more skilled at the position, but he didnt play alot of talent, so theyu dont know how he will fare in the college ranks. Where as in Ohio, theres alot of talent, so they have an idea of how he will do in the college ranks. Thats just my guess.

I got to go out for a couple hours. Will start year 2 with the NC State game when I get back. Hope to get a few games in tonight being how the only thing I got going tomorrow is 3 games of softball and its suppose to snow tonight so chances are my games will be cancelled.
Hope everyone is excited and will follow. I saw 1 other guy start out at Winston-Salem but only lasted a few days before he stopped posting. I know this is a team people have said they wanted to see and I really like their roster. 4 guys that can flat out shoot the 3 fits my playing style very well.
I am looking to upset some big time programs this year. Just so you all know I do plan on staying here for awhile, I have done the jump ship after 2 years and personally for me I have more fun at the smaller schools. I have always been a westcoast guy so I am looking forward to playing some east coast basketball. My goal is to someday coach in the Big East.

And the legacies where timing makes no sense continues from deuce...
So, Dezaron sr. coached from 2007-on, and now his son is doing the same, where we already know Dezaron sr.'s future records? Makes no sense, but I'll follow, haha.

Yeah I couldn't believe it. I played NC State tough, killed Wake Forest, so I though I should be able to hang with Davidson. Problem was not only could 1 guy not hit a 3 but none of my 4 guys could hit a 3. That and Davidson did a great job of breaking my press, where Wake struggled. UNC is still good, but no Hansbourgh or Lawson they both went pro last year. :)

Sorry guys, but I got asked to play on another modified softball team, so I went from playing 4 games a week to 6, so I am not going to be able to do both legacies. I don't see how I can give up Coach Scott and his run at a 3-Peat with the Zags, so Coach Dezaron going to die........... Not that to many people will be sad. I havn't posted in over a week and nobody has said anything. :)
