So I know 2K can't make NFL games because of licensing, but what is preventing them from making APF in NCAA format? The game would almost certainly sell better due to the NCAA being more popular than legend football. Has 2K commented on this?

EA owns the right to NCAA football as well. :(

Well that sucks.. i figured they didn't because of college hoops 2k8.. i didn't think they would break down NCAA rights into each sport.

Yep, when EA set out to crush 2K football they took it all: pro, arena & college.

At least we got High School.... lol

Which actually wouldn't be a bad idea.
franchise
customization
ect, ect...

Most of the interest of campus legend on NCAA for me was the high school playoffs and trying to make it to the college level. If 2k would let us customize our district/teams as long as they provide the names and locations of the high schools like EA does (but EA didn't do it right).

I know it would be more work cause there are millions of H.S.'s out there but it sounds fun to me.

I agree.. plus they could have a 24/7 mode with tests and things like "Your girlfriend says she is pregnant, will you go to the doctor with her or ignore her?"

hahaha :rotfl: ........ "You were grounded for shoplifting and lost your starting spot"

The offense would be fun w/ the implementation (<-what?) of the option game like college.

Except for the fact that High School football is boring, unless you are actually playing yourself. I couldnt imagine playing a high school football video game for one simple fact... 98% of teams wouldnt be able to throw the ball worth a lick. The majority of high schools run tricky formations like the Wing-T or Option Spread (which is now quite popular in the college ranks too).

But yea, if it was to be any thing like real high school football it would be pretty hard to have a solid passing game, unless the entire team was built around it like Hawaii.

High school football is all about the program. From the time your a freshman you are running the same offense until you are a Sr. and 98% of the time it's a run run run run run run PA Pass type offense.

My comments were mainly based for offline but the Wing-T, option game, ect.. would be exciting for people to use IMO. I got to play against the wish-bone in H.S.. (It sucked then cause those guys were bruisers) but it would be fun for that person who ran that offense or likes that style.

Why would they dumb it down where u can't pass? T.O.'s will be more prevalent, which is fine, but we had a spread offense that worked very well. Thats what having your own playbook works out.

in my mind (echoes.. lol), i just see 2k making players a skoshe smaller and having the gameplay the same....

your right about that.... practice and more practice on the same offense but ours was a passing based offense and so were the top teams in our state.

oh well, it's an idea that will never come about anyway. it would be great if 2k ever came out w/ another football game.

My offense for my HS ran a Flex-Bone/Single Back formations. We passed about 12 times a game and Ran about 30.
