View Full Version : Its Final, ESPN NBA Basketball Doesn't Have A Dunk Contest

I talked with the admin at Operation Sports and he asked the producer of ESPN NBA Basketball if they have a Dunk Contest, and he said no. So, ESPN College Hoops is the only game that has the Dunk Session. I think its cuz ESPN College Hoops is made by VC/Krush and ESPN NBA Basketball is made by VC. So there u go, just updating ya'll. But some of ya'll prolly knew or suspected it.

I think the only way a dunk contest can be fun is if you can wire frame create your own dunks to use in competition.

How does the contest in College work? Do you use the dunks that they already have in the game?

maybe an admin. can enlighten us on this topic and weather or not it will be in the nba game next year (they seem to butt in on our other conversations, so y not this 1?)

Yeah your probably right. They'll wanna test it out first and see if they should have it on ESPN NBA BASKETBALL... :wink:

I don't know about ya'll, but a 3PT Contest would get kinda boring, i wish they had it, but a Dunk Contest would be funner, specially if they added new dunks each year, so u have something to look forward to

see, a 3pt contest is just releasing at the tip of ya jump, and you'll make the shot as long as ya player has a good enough rating

thats funny brankles..i thought u would like another glitch cross to exploit in online gmplay for 2k4. dunks contest would SUX. a 3 pt contest, u would have to race around the 5 positions of the court in a certain amt of time and make as many as u can. the cpu would also be shown doing the same...THAT would be great

Like I've said before a dunk contest would be the worst feature and I hope it never gets added. Their are somethings in real life sports that should never be on videogames because it just makes no sense to do so. Unless you could create your dunk there would be no point in having a dunk contest and even if you could create your dunk it would get mad boring because all you would doing is dunking. If you want to do that just go play NBA Live and have a blast doing it.

I'd rather have a Create-a-dunk instead of a Dunk contest myself. I have a feeling it'll be up there next year :lol:

wat ya'll blabin about??? a dunk contest would be raw, maybe not for xbox, but for xbox 2 or PS3, and if/when they do make one, ya'll be droolin over da game, stop frontin, just cuz u can't think of a way to make one don't mean there aint a way

Anyways... 3 point contest would be pretty mediocre... but you seem like you'd love to have it...

I'm not against it... in fact I'd want to have that in a game... but I'm not that worried about it, cuz like I said before... you just shoot the ball at the height of your shot, and in your version... you run to the next rack (WOOO huge difference :roll: )

I would much rather see a well-done dunk contest than a well-done 3 pt contest...

Maybe our minds will be changed when NCAA 2k4 comes out ...
