I was just wondering what is ur guys' opinion on the best gold running back. Who is the best power back, finesse back, and mix back. Please list CAPs also but please list CAPs with only 3 abilities. Also I know Earl Campbell is probably the most power back but please list others besides him. (I dont like using him)

Sanders
Smith
Payton
Simpson
In that order, in my opinion. I just run the best with Sanders because that cutback is just sick. I can navigate in and out of the blocks really easily, and his finesse moves are the most effective of any back I've used.

Earl Campbell
OJ Simpson
Barry Sanders
Walter Payton
Gale Sayers
Those are the best IMO, but I like using Walter the best because he's my favorite player all time, and he is the only player with Finesse & Power. Barry is my 2nd favorite back.

The best GOLD back in the game and is overlooked is Thurman Thomas
Thurman has great agility and quickness with good cutback ability. Thurman can stop on the dime and has an amazing Juke move and spin. He can be a power back when needed and a finesse back also. He has another postion because He is the best Gold back that has hands like a receiver and even better than some Tightends in the game. Thurman can run a route and catch the ball like your main receiver. So you really picking a Gold player for two positions. He can catch and he can run. Not too many times somone will catch him from behind. Also he has amazing stamina and durability....He has power, finesse, soft hands, great agility, speed and durability...Now look at the other GOLD backs and they only have one or two of these qualities..Thurman has the total package but is overlooked entirely

Exactly, I completely Agree!
Also Joe Perry really REALLY is shockingly good.

agree 100% as well. I have a soft spot for Walter though. He was my football idol growing up and I wore #34 all through my playing days :)

GOLD rbs, just don't work in this game.
I stop you 3 times and your losing by a Td or two and you're going to the air. There's a reason top players like myself and many others go generic Rb or Bronze at most.
A Gold Wr or Te is alot more dangerous than a Gold Rb. Personally I love Walter Payton as to me he was/is the greatest football player ever.
But once I got online facing 8 people in the box Walter isn't effective. When A Bronze Lb can knock a gold Rb flat on his back every time there's a problem.....
Because no Bronze Cb can hold down a Gold Wr............
This game favors passing, so while I love running you're not going to win to many games with a gold Rb

Paul Hornung is the best all around RB in the game. Not only is he a beast as a runner, but super dangerous as a receiver out of the backfield or split wide.
I do agree that it's kind of a waste to spend a gold pick on a RB, especially when you can easily be effective with a bronze.
