Someone mentioned purchasing a Memory card in order to save a 2nd Roster file and be able to create another 20 players & 8 teams.

http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/prod_lrg_images/927/204225927.jpg (http://www.buy.com/prod/xbox-360-memory-card-unit-512mb/q/loc/108/204225927.html)

This appears to work great, now if I could only copy the Roster file to my PC, then I could have multiple teams and create whatever team I wanted + reuse existing PlayBooks (which I have 5 fully customized now). There's a way to do it! Just purchase the Xbox 360 Transfer Kit!

http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/prod_lrg_images/601/202920601.jpg (http://www.buy.com/prod/xbox-360-transfer-kit/q/loc/108/202920601.html)

It will run you about $50 to $70 depending on where you buy the memory card and transfer kit and yes, this should have been part of the game and should not have required another purchase just to continue customizing it, but at least there's a way to create more teams/players and to reuse existing playbooks now. :)

Funny you say this .... I bought a memory card today when I bought an Elite. I have to remake all my teams but I was wondering if I got another memory card could I have 24 teams and 60 caps total? I was also wondering what your talking about in transferring your teams to your PC? Why do you need to do this?

You can save your roster file to your PC, rename it, and thus have as many rosters as you want. Whenever you want to load a roster (teams + CAPs), just name the file to the proper name for you memory card, and overwrite the file that's on the memory card. :)

I'll have the following roster files.

o Custom Roster file (all my custom teams)
o UT Roster file (College team - University of Texas)
o Dallas Cowboys Roster file (CAP Cowboys team)
o Tennessee Titans Roster file (CAP Titans team)

And probably a couple of other roster files as well. Basically one roster file per team.

If Roster files are transferable (need to test), and not specific to a user's system, then we can start hosting Roster files for CAP teams at www.2kfootballstrategy.com. w00t! :)

Good Info Val.

I got a couple of uni-codes (mostly college) how can I post them on 2kfootballstrategy?

Well if 2k would have just made a generic replica of the NFL with players already with attributes. Never mind.

If you buy from Ebay, a 64 mb memory card and the transfer kit will cost you a total of about $40.

Here's a tip on how to eliminate the need for renaming the file everytime you want to use it.

On your hard drive, make one main folder called "APF Rosters". Each roster file will be in its own subfolder under the main folder. For instance, if your 8 teams are from Alabama, name the subfolder "Alabama" and dump the roster file in there. Another subfolder might be called "Texas Teams", etc. This way you won't have to keep renaming files.

I'm also going to create Word docs that go in each folder describing the teams on that roster file. For instance, if I had a team on the Texas Rosters file called the Fort Worth Gorillas, I would describe it thusly: Logo: Gorillas, Colors: Purple, Silver, black, Stadium: Whatever, Gold Players: Aikman, Smith etc.

I messed around with the memory card and it works like a champ. Copied my existing teams to the card from the XBox 360 Dashboard. I drove around town and looked for a transfer kit, but no one had one in stock. The guys at GameStop tried to tell me the only way to do that was to buy a $180 hard drive backup unit. LOL!!! Talk about bad service. I went ahead and ordered one online. Should be here in 3 to 5 days. I'll post the results after I get it in and test it.

Hey Val I've got both of these things already so technically I could do this but what do I have to do exactly. Since I constantly create new teams this would help me out alot.

I need a step by step process of what your talking about Val. I am not that computer savvy. Pictures would be even better :)

I have 2 memory units both of them are 512 so I would l;ove to know how to eactly do this properly

With two memory units, you should be able to have 24 teams and 60 CAPs Hitman.

I ordered my transfer kit last night. It hasn't shipped yet, but I ponied up $9 bucks for quick delivery, so hopefully I'll have it mid week. I'll post a write up / how to after I figure out how to easily switch teams between the computer / memory unit / XBox 360.

Thanks! I just want to know the easiest way to switch teams and CAPS. I have a Elite and you would think it could handle 1,000 CAPS and Teams with all the memory it has????

I know it can but you shouldnt have to buy memory units to get the most out of your game. I did buy another Memory unit to have more teams and Caps and I bought another and gave it to vegas96 so 3 total so I need to use it somehow LOL.

Well, this works. The question is, can you share a Roster with other people? I'm able to save as many Rosters and thus create as many CAPs / Teams that I want now! :)

I need someone else to buy a transfer unit to test it out with. Be sure to get a 64MB memory card too, the transfer unit will NOT work with a 512MB card. I picked up the transfer kit off of eBay, and snagged the 64MB card at GameSpot.

I've got both and have transferred a roster file to my hard drive. How can I help you out?

This is actually a great idea because then you can create and set up 2 or 3 teams with full functioning playbooks yet you can have endless different team looks & roster lineups without having to go through and re-create each playbook for them. Good looking out! I'll probably stick them on my memory card but probably not buy a transfer kit.

I've got both and have transferred a roster file to my hard drive. How can I help you out?Excellent. Click the links below to download the Roster files and then see if you can get them to work on your console by transferring them to your memory unit.

This is the team I have created for the CFL.

Houston, we have lift-off. In other words, success. Loaded up the roster and started a game, just to make sure. There were only 4 teams, right?

I couldn't download the txt file - it took me to a web page that said "edit using xchange 360" or something like that. Maybe we should put the two files in a zip file.

So now you can create everyones team for them and not have to go through the validation process. Let me know when my teams ready. :) Oh and please tweak my playbook so that it fits my team play style. Thanks. :)

Tpaterniti has a break down of the formations / packages that each team uses, so that's a definite posibility. No joke. ;)
