ey everyone myself and im poppa sin 2u will be starting a NFL Team League. This will be an all CAPs league with current NFL Players. We are looking for 20 teams. Currently the person who runs our league (XPL 5) has decided to end it after this season. So we will also be carrying over some of the people from there. By the way these are just some in general rules that will most likely be revised a little bit before the league starts:

It is expected that every rule will be followed in this league. If you do not think you can handle following these rules than I suggest you drop now and save everyone including yourself alot of time and effort.

1)Have Fun! - This is mandatory. If we aren't all having fun then why are we playing? This includes ruining someone elses fun by breaking the rules. This is a big no no. We work on a 3 strike policy here. You break a rule you get warned. You break a rule again you get put on notice. You break a rule for a third time you are searching for another league to play in. No exceptions on this rule.

2)Get Your Game In - No one likes simmed games. I can understand extenuating circumstances, and require you to notify me if such circumstances arise. Otherwise I will base my sim decision on who stayed in contact with me the most, either through PM, instant messenger, or on the message board. 3 strike rule applies here.

3)Communication - This is going to be the key to a smooth running league. Please use these boards as much as needed to work out a time for your game. I also HIGHLY recommend the use of AIM, MSN, or Yahoo Instant Messenger. I also recommend using your headset during gameplay to notify your opponent if there is something going on against the rules. Nothing is better than being able to talk out an issue like a mature adult. Using a headset does not give you the right to annoy or trash talk your opponent either. Let's respect each other.

4)Game Play - I'm not a big fan of listing a million things you can't do that is considered cheese. Unfortunately we will run into too many problems if I don't, therefore these are the limits on game play.
4th Down - Please use real football discretion. No going for it outside the 50 yard line unless it is inside the first half 2 minute warning, or in the 4th quarter. I will allow going for it if you are inside the 40, especially if you are just outside your kickers field goal range. Again, use real NFL discretion.
No Huddle Offense - Same as 4th down. Use some real NFL discretion. Running Up The Score - Will not be tolerated. If the 4th quarter comes and you are up by 2 scores or more you must play conservatively. I love stats, and have a great feeling when one of my players is tops in the league, but not at the expense of breaking rule #1. Please have respect for your fellow owners.
Clock Management - Please do not run down the time until it is necessary. Again going back to 4th down with using real NFL discretion.
Substitutions - Be realistic. G/T/C, DT/DE, OLB/ILB, CB/SS/FS, HB/FB, TE/WR, or HB/WR are pretty much interchangable.
Motion - Please let your motion man set before snapping the ball. I wish I could allow this, but the game AI sucks too much for it to be fair.

5)Your Profile - Please update your profile with your availability. I highly recommend using atleast one instant message program and posting your user name in your profile. I will take into account the fact that someone is using one of those programs to get games in if I have to make sim decisions. Please, you are are allowed only one profile. Having multiple profiles in the league leads to underhanded trading and fixing of games. It is strictly forbidden.

6)Complaints - ALL complaints will be made to me directly via PM, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, or Email. I will not tolerate threads calling out other owners. If you have beef you come to me and I handle it. No exceptions here.

7)Injuries - If a player is injuried it will be reset after the game. Injuries are, but for some reason players still get injuried.

Im trying to get people in as quick as possible hitman. But im sure it doesnt help that this is Mothers Day Wwekend and some of us are probably going to be going on vacation (i am and wont be back til late sunday or possibly even mon night) Hopefully by then everyone will have finished making their teams and have joined the league!

Sorry but i am getting quite tired of the people who havent already joined this league that said they would create teams and havent yet. Far as i am concerned everyone has had more than enough time to make their teams and it is just delaying things for everyone else who hurried up made their team and has joined (thanks to those 16 people).

What i am going to do is send a message to the 4 who havent joined yet and give them a deadline for them to finish tweaking/creating their teams which will be this FRIDAY BY NOON EST. Meanwhile i will get 4 replacement owners who can and will have their teams already made up ready to join on FRIDAY 12 NOON EST or whenever they get on FRIDAY. I'm sorry to everyone who has hurried up and made their teams for another delay but far as im concerned if i dont give people a deadline they will just continue to take their sweet time. FOR THOSE WHO HAVENT MADE THEIR TEAMS THIS IS A LAST CHANCE UNTIL NEXT SEASON!

Hmm well, I tried to get a week 1 matchup with blue, but that got postponed til Monday due to his family committments. Hitman was in the lobby but I could only challenge him for a custom game. Is there a way we can just play whoever is in the lobby and let those games count if we're matched up for the schedule?

I'm not the admin or anything but I'm pretty sure you can play whoever is available. I played the admin himself and our game wasn't scheduled till week 11 or so.

I am sorry to say that I dropped out of the league. This has nothing to do with the admin at all but it does have to do with some game play and players that have been created on some teams. Looking at a lot of the players people have I see many with out correct height and weights like 5'11" CB's as a 6'1" CB's. Also when a RB leads the league in receptions than all I see is a screen left, screen right, throw to the flat, and than repeat. Maybe it was wrong for me to join a league without that many restrictions.

Last night i played a game and found out sheldon brown is 6'2. Among others. Then i went to view some rosters seen a 6'6 roy willams ,and a 6'6 lee bodden. Amongst many many more i'll save from naming. I wish i knew there was going to be no team validation of any kind. Needless to say my team is normal size. So I'll be seeing ya's.

10) Line Shifts/Manually moving players – I am sorry but this is something I have to address! There are too many exploits not to cover this area. I have seen to many people take a LB or DT and move them outside of the DE or line them up right next to the DE to try to stuff a outside run or stack the D-Line Tthere are more but I wont cover them all, instead just stick by these guidelines below:

U may run a delayed blitz with a LB/DT/DE but there will be very little manual movement allowed. U may move your LB/DB/DT backwards if u wanna cover a pass or something so long as u don’t move your players outside of your DEs If u wanna shift your LB/DE/DT using the bumpers that is fine but otherwise u must follow the above guidelines. Also the only direction in which u can manually move your safeties or CBs Is backwards
