It says on various sites like IGN and Ebgames.com.au that we get the game shipped 22nd of May (I think.) Is this reliable? Does this mean we will get the game earlier then the US, etc?

This was an old release date that probably hasn't been updated. The game will not be available anywhere before June 23rd.

Yes...but....we dont care about North America. we would like to know whether Australia will be getting the game in May (rather than North America). EB Games was informed around a week ago that it would launch the 22nd May in Australia apparently. BigW has it for 25th May. PAL GN was notified that the game would launch on the 23rd May by 2K Australia headquarters. Also Australia received its shipment of Top Spin 2 atleast 2 weeks before the US release.
People keep asking because we want an official response... almost every resource on the internet points to the Australian release being in May. Sorry to question you but do you actually have any contact with the development team or the marketing and distribution devisions of your company 2k, or PAM and the DVD manufacturer? i wouldnt think so being a forum admin and moderator. but you tell me...cos everything with this game so far seems very suspicious... we as fans, who will be spending millions on this game would like official responses regarding a game that will launch in the next month... we are constantly ignored. This is why people respond so negatively towards a game that will likely be great.

are you sure it's someone from 2K and not a distributor or retailer? Because retailers are known to makeup dates that are wrong and has never been announced by the developer.

It doesn't really make sense that they release the game earlier in Europe than in the US. The only way that I can think of is if there is a distribution problem in the US. BUt Ronnie said that the game was delayed because they wanted to spend the extra time fine tuning the game. So when it's done, it's done for all countries.

Hey there - EB Games were saying as early as yesterday that this game was to be released today (22/05). Their Australian website even has the game listed as "out now" but on calling them a couple of minutes the salesperson stated the game will be released 20/06 - uniform with everywhere else in Australia...

It won't be released the 20th either, it's more likely to be the 26th. The original American release date was the 20th, that's probably why they are confused.

In Europe the game will come out on June 20.

It´s strange...I think here are some misunderstandings....and nobody really knows when the game will come out.
I hope we will get it this summer...

The game will be out in North America on June 24th, and most other cities around the world on the regular video game release date right after that (most are Thursday's, so it will be the 26th. That is the official word, there should be no confusion. We have been saying, since the release date was delayed, that this would be the date regardless of what places said May 20th. Generally, release dates don't update in 100% of the places they are supposed to.

Alright, let me retract what I said. After checking in, I found out that the release in Europe/Australia is actually on the 20th of June. That's very rare that the release date would be before the US release date which is the 24th but that's the word. My apologies.

As far as I have been told, all Europe/Australia June 20th, US June 24th. I am sure there may be delays internationally depending on city but in that time frame is reasonable.

The release date sometimes varies on store / country. The European release date is still this Friday though it might vary a little for some cities.
