I'd love the following PRACTICE MODES... (all in player practice uniforms and in team specific practice gyms)
1. Run plays (offense and defense)
2. Scrimmage (1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, etc.)
3. Mini-game development drills (including Skills Competition like drills)

I'd also love these TUTORIAL MODES... (even if they're just well-done videos, like the Steve Nash isomotion video or the old NBA 2K5 tutorial videos they released before the game's release)
1. Dribbling differences and how ratings affect them
2. Passing differences and how ratings affect them
3. Steals and positioning
4. Shot blocks and positioning

And last, additional CREATE MODES along with create a player...
1. Create a venue
2. Create a jersey

24/7 was cool and helped players learn the game. It wasn't meant to be the main part of the game, so all the critics who hated it should have and could have easily looked it over.

Though I have been lobbying for this for many years, I finally hope this is the year they put it in. I used to play it on another NBA game but I forgot what it was. I think it would be a great addition.

I'd like an all-star weekend. Shouldn't be too hard to take the dunk contest from 2k8 and put it in an arena, instead of a street court. Same with the 3pt shootout and rookies/sophomores game.

D-League should be added as an integral part of the Association.

Bring back the street legend from NBA 2k4 like phenom or try getting some and 1 guys to be in the game sort of like a street torunment like in 2k7.:thumbsup:

Give us a real practice mode where I can actually sub players in and out, instead of making changes to the roster.

1.Improve the 'Player Lock' feature so that the guys on your team behave more intelligently...Incorporate this into a Madden/The Show type career mode......

2.A 'Classic Teams' playoff mode where you can have playoff tourneys featuring the all-time greats...use the 2kshare feature found in C-Hoops and allow users to insert the names to avoid having to pay those retired geezers....

3.Not really a mode but allow users to save 10-20 plays a game and then allow them to click on any game and view those replays(and allow users to add commentary to these replays if they wish via the headset mic)...Make this an option even if memory is a slight problem as 120gb hard drives will probably be able to do this.

4.Create a play like C-Hoops has

5.Multiplayer online...10 different players from 10 different locations...I think NBA2k7 for PS3 had this...Did the NBA2k8 PS3 version have this?...Also a spectator mode to watch games online.

6.Incorporate VIP so that users may play against them in Association mode, not just exhibition

2. ***. mode add summer league, and D-league for scouting players
3. Add Micheal Jordan, Patwrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, etc
4. Create A prospect like on college hoops 2k8
5.Chnage dunk to layup in air
6.weekly shows with top 3 plays of week
7.pick celebration pakage(like dunk and handles pakages like in 2k8)
8.Better playoff presentaions
9. have crowds get loud till they shake vistor controller
10. have real coahes in the free agency pool for coaches
And last a career mode to got throught the life of one nba player from draft day to last playoff game and retired his jersey

1. more realistic All Star weekend. Kind of like what NBA 08 has for the PS3
2. International Play with like 12 different countries
3. Being able to re locate your team and/ or changing the jersey
4. Superstar mode to where you either create or choose a rookie and play with him until his career is over and you can see all the accomplishments
5. no 24/7 mode. That was kinda ***. Id rather have improvements on these other things than bringing back 24/7

they really need to make it like u are there they need to add player intro go to each arena and see how they do it like in cleveland have the newscoreboard with the fire coming out of the swords and show lebron throwing the powder same thing with kg. Also make the crowd louder come playoff time or close games and if there is a blowout have the crowd leave or chant overrated.Have techinals and flagorants have players almost get in to it like in the washington cleveland series.Definitly show the trophy presentation after u win a title if they cant have espn involved like for a post game have tnt (kenny ernie charles ) and when its playoff time have them cut to a player press conference

First off, I love the Association mode. I have gone through 13+ seasons in Association mode a few times (in 2Ks6-8). I don't want them messing with its formula too much, but I do notice that the teams' salaries get too saturated as the years go by. All of the teams become way too above the salary cap and players that are only 80-85 overall get, like, $30 mill/year contracts. Aside from that, I love it.

I would like to see more tutorials for newbies. I got my brother to start playing 2K8 and since the instruction manual is useless (btw, why are the manuals nowadays only 6 pages, black and white, and don't show anything? I remember full-color, informative, manuals that looked like what an operator's manual should look like, that would have diagrams, tips, and much more... ), he didn't know the wonders of the shot stick or isomotion. Each time I speak with him I tell him about some move that he had no idea was possible. Like how the dunk stick is position-to-the-rim-sensitive, that tapping the left trigger pulls off a nice stutter/juke, how the up-and-under is a beast, and that if you are trapped by the sideline, pressing away from the defenders makes you throw the ball off of them.

What makes 2K's basketball games great is that they have all of the subtleties and nuances of the game. However, if the players aren't shown how to do them, how can they appreciate them? I, still to this day, discover new moves and animations when I play. And trust me, I've played an incalculable amount of hours on these games.

I like the trivia that they put during loading times, so maybe a trivia mode. Maybe something like waht the second NBA Ballerz game did, where they had trivia, a spelling contest (like, spell Peja Stojakovic), and other fun wasters.

Also, as other have mentioned, they should make the playoffs more intense. Playoff basketball is some of the most intense, dramatic, and exciting sporting events... heck, televised events out there. They should have weekly recap shows like they did in NFL 2k5 what would show highlights from the games you played during the week, as well as other games that took place. I really got a kick out of that...

Add D-League so if there is a problem with your rookies. you can send him to the D-League to make him become better.

I'm not sure if anybody else has posted this, but I'd love to just have realistic zone defenses because u can just pass right through the zone and get open 3's and layups all day against them.

Have the rookie sophmore game and let the user play only if a rookie from their team makes the team, and the three point shoot out.

7. 2k9 to be the best 2k game of all time no basketball game of all time

1. Incorporate a lot of College Hoops 2K8 stuff in NBA 2K9 like create ur own plays etc...

2.More in depth association (ex: make the NBA Draft more realistic, like someting Live 04 did with the cutscene of players getting drafted and shaking David Stern's hand.) mode

3. A full AS weekend mode

4.Superstar mode like Madden would be ok

5. Team USA vs The World mode

6.D-League that also goes along with the association mode ( if possible)

no 24/7 mode it was nice feature but I don't miss it

better practice mode like being able run sets with your teams on both offense and defense.

fix playing calling animations to the old version or reworked the new. this year sucked badly playing with pistons and utah and one thing I love about previous 2k version was not only could the computer makes sweet plays from running sets but I could as well and playing with teams like the pistons was hella sweet. 2k8 version of running plays is terrible but I understand that 2k was trying some new animations techniques so please fix this aspect that I described and I would be satisfied

coaches have rotations, and computer follows them. all 12 guys don't play in the first quarter even if you do play with golden state and run all game

fix salary cap issues(good players banished to free agency after one season, knicks being 30 million in the negative when cablevision has so much money to spend)

player specific birthdays, and rookies are 17,18 when you recruit them at the start of the season, not 19

allstar weekend

better scouting, pre-draft camps for lower rated prospects, player drills in workouts not just hitting jumpshots in that easy *** drill

better draft, something more interesting, doesn't have to be video's or anything but maybe some presentation or at least some talking of some kind. draft day trades would be cool too.

animations for athletic players as well as seperate animations for not so athletic players, computer making strategy decisions or changes during the game

d-league and summer leagues

player development should be like college hoops where you have to put the time in to make your player a better jumpshooter, not just do that easy no defense shooting drill that makes your players 3 point percentage go up 24 points by the time the second year starts.

24/7 wasn't cool and if you is completely different from the NBA game. It sucked and they should come out with a seperate game if called NBA 24/7 2K9.

Hell yeah, that 24/7 mode was hella terrible. Even when I tried to make it fun it wasn't. Just a waste of disc space if you ask me. Also that damn Blacktop mode needs to go. If people wanna play a Dunk Contest go buy Live as a side game

1. A full all-star weekend, with all the flash and glitz, gotta make the atmosphere really pop and maybe add player music like how it was done in NFL 2k5. Please take Bobbito out, he's been terrible in every game he's been in.

2. Spectator mode would be so fun. 2 people can watch

3. Arena specific sounds and music, non generic arena announcers. Player intros and special intros like we've seen this year during the playoffs. Especially if the series is tight, to have scoreboard vids like the Celtics had this year would be hot.

4. Please have more specific and situational commentary, more crowd interaction. better stat overlays. A real halftime and post game show with commentary ala NFL 2k5

actually have homecourt mean something not just different jerseys and the team logo. I want crowds to go bezerk after 3 great plays, I also want technical fouls, like maybe havea meter when you argue the call, but argue too much and your anger stays high so the next call you may argue you may get a T but if you argue successfully the ref lets you play or just gives you a free call instead of a foul he lets the block count. If your not going to give us updates at the very least let us change the players names so we can find players that look similar to the missing player and we can at least have them somewhat. Allstar weekend of course. Let us pick what jerseys we want to wear when home, shouldnt always have to be our default home or retro home.

Also in the older 2k games there was a sim/arcade toggle. So that when you wanted to play a game with really flashy dunks and layups you could just switch the toggle. I'd like that in there too.

I think they should make a superstar mode. You start out like in as a created player. Then you do development drills to tell how you are. After that you can keep working on those until Draft Time. Then if you get picked then you work with that team and if you dont, then you wait till you get signed by doing drills to get urself better. Add a running drill PLZ. Then get signed by Jordan,Adidas, Nike, Ect.In the offseason you can be Invited to USA Team. Another whole thing is to carry this to Xbox Live by doing 1 on 1 with other Live members.
