ITST - International Top Spin Tour

For anyone who enjoys competitive tennis, you can't top the ITST. The site has hosted a true-to-life ATP and WTA Tour since the release of the original Top Spin game in 2003. The ITST - currently supporting TS1, TS2 (PC) and TS2 (Xbox 360) - will support Top Spin 3 for both the 360 and PS3 when the game is released in June.

Update ...

The first tournaments have been scheduled. First, a warm-up event (using in-game pros) followed by the first official tournaments (using created characters). The first tournament (June 29th start) is a warm-up event, so, you must use pro players - the players in the game. No need to create a character. The official ranking tour begins on July 7th. For this, and all other tournaments, you must use a created player.

Update ...

The first Xbox 360 warm-up tournament is filled (64 man draw) so a second warm-up tournament was created. There is still room in the PS3 tournament. A prize will be awarded to the winner in each of the three warm-up events. It's free to join the ITST and participate in all tournaments. Play begins June 29th.

The ITST follows, exactly, the tours of the WTA and ATP. Basically, it's a professional tennis tour for people who prefer to sit on the couch. The site calculates global rankings, statistics, the whole lot, the same as the professional tennis web sites.

No charge. It's free. The ITST is run by a handful of tennis gaming fanatics who enjoy working for absolutely no pay.

Awesome thanks. It's just that I've encountered a few pages saying Premium users only.What is the difference between the free and Premium?

Premium Members have access to more stats, and a few other fringe benefits. The fee for this is nominal, and is not pushed on any of the members. Basically, it's there if you want it. That said, to be a full-time member of the ITST - with the ability to compete in all tournaments - it doesn't cost anything.

Ah right. Thanks for your honesty. Once i start playing in a few tournaments, if I like it, I'll pay; not just for the fringe benefits, but for support to you guys! (Well, if it's not TOO expensive) - I'll go check the prices now.

UPDATE: Only 10 spots remain in both the PS3 and (2nd) Xbox 360 ITST warm-up tournaments (64 man draw).

REMINDER: A prize of $60.00 (38 euros) will be awarded to the winner of both warm-up tournaments. You do not need a created player for this event. Unlike the official tournaments, beginning July 7th. you must use an in-game pro for the warm-up tournament.

Again, it's free to join the ITST, free to play.

XBOX 360 TOUR

Due to increased demand, a fourth men's tournament has been added - The Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships (grass). This event, like the other official ITST tournaments, begins on Monday, July 7th. At the moment there are 14 spots still available.

Again, if you have not yet registered with the ITST, you must do this first. Membership is free.

On the women's side of the fence, 6 spots currently remain in the Gaz de France Grand Prix (clay).

PS3

On the men's side, a total of 11 spots remain in two tournaments (both clay). The ladies tournament has 13 openings, also clay. All tournaments begin on July 7th.

Tournaments beginning July 28th (for both Xbox360 and PS3) are currently in sign-up - including a challenger and the first doubles event.

Regarding the women's tournaments: Now that a fully-trained character can be created in less than five minutes, no excuse now for not seeing what it's like on the other side of the fence (that would be the ladies tour). :)
