:read: I can't understand why after all thoses sports games, we still just allowed to save after or before games? I wish we could save "IN GAME" by this i means we could save our game at any time during the match so we could continue at that exact moment we left, just like in many other action games!!! I'm so tired of wasted games because i got to leave...and NO i don't wanna leave my console open i don't think its safe doing this u know:nono: ...seriously how many of us have to shut down a good bball game just like that:rolleyes: ...So i wish NBA2k9 and more likely others to come (because 2k9 it most likely complete at this time;) ) to add this new feature in it...What ya'll think about this???

a game is like 20 mins long what your problem??? dont start it unless you got time... 20 mins??? My games go on over 1 hour long. That would be great if we could save during the game. This would really work out for when my cousin comes over and he plays and hes in the middle of a great game then his ride shows up and he can't finish it. I wish they had that man for times if I get bored but I did 2 quarters and don't want to quit because my guys are getting great numbers.

That's bull and you know it. If you can go back and view any dunk, block, shot then you can sure as hell implement a save-game feature.

that would be the best feature they could add.

this is a great idea imo. it's one of the main things i love about the psp. you can shut it off and later on turn it on to go right back to where you were. i can see this happening sometime in the future because it shouldn't be too hard. it would make people's live a little easier and could wind up being a big plus in 2k basketball.

I agree with the thread author: while not new, MLB2K8 allows ingame saves, and when you reload and resume it will leave you exactly where and when you left off. Unlike those that choose to play 5 min gms, I rather choose 7 or 8min gms due to the stats are more intune when compared to the real NBA games. All sport games large and small should include this feature. It's just another positive option given to the user, from the developers/programmers. Many users have been wanting this for years. Hopefully 2K9 hears our calls.

They don't have this (quality) feature because they spend too much time working on getting the correct gym shoe soles or worring about whether or not someone has a butterfly tattooed on their left butt cheek.
This should have been in the game from the start.

This would be a very good feature to have implemented in the game, no doubt. I find myself sometime in a middle of a great game and then all of sudden something important comes up out of the blue, so this option would be very useful.

it's not really a new idea....Madden used to allow in-game saves on PS2 and XBOX versions.

In-game saves? I guess I never viewed sports games to be that important to resume a game that I already started. If I don't finish, then I don't finish. It's not like COD4, GOW, and GTAIV where you have progress and bosses to beat. To me, it's like adding an in-game save feature to Tetris. If you don't have time, then don't play. If something comes up, is that game really that big of deal where you need the stats to bolster your association?

Actually, you make a very strong point. I tend to agree with you. I guess I may in turn, go against what I thought previously about wanting them to put this feature in. While it is still a game, having a mental ability to never wanting to pause a sporting event to finish up later is silly. I know that a War mission does not "pause" and save for you in real life either but it is highly fictional as far as gaming in shooting someone to kill goes on a day to day basis. A sports game is something we can all relate to factually and owe some genuinity and respect to want to finish up without pausing and saving it.

Well I play 10 min. quarters to get realistic stats and that takes about an hour to play. I finish my games mostly all the time, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to add this feature though. It's not a necessity or anything like that, but it wouldn't hurt.

I agree. Implement this in the games. Madden has done this for a few of his games through the years...off the top of my head Madden 06 on XBOX and Madden 99. And more. Games are too long. I play 10-12 minute games per quarter.

Also I hope this is in I hate it when I am in the middle of a good game and something just pops up that I don't really want to go to but I go anyway for support...

True. Of course, my mentality may come from the fact that when I played real basketball, I have always finished my games. I can count on one hand how many times I quitted playing to do something else. Then again, I can count on all my limbs when I should have quitted playing when I sprained my ankle during the game, but kept playing like a d*mbass:rotfl: . Not only that, a brother has lost count of how many times that I've been in the doghouse with my girl, because I tried to squeeze in one more game since my team won. I guess old habits are hard to break  .

Your mental abliity has overtaking the true meaning of a videogame's intent to have a ingame save feature for the offline user. I'm sorry to say but you are over analysing real life situations to the virtual world of console entertainment. Pretty mesmerizing stuff..
