We better get a REAL instruction manual, or at least some tutorial videos like what's found on youtube or Madden 09. D*mn, I would have been happy with a in-game manual like NBA 2K5.

9 pages worth of info on a game that has so many things to figure out. Not a mention of even "If you hold LT and move the left analog from left to right, your dribbling hand changes." The menu tips weren't enough either. If they are gonna short us on a manual then at least put tutorials in game so people can practice with it or figure out what new features are in the game.

I vented my frustration about this in another thread here. I. personally like finding new move combinations and new animations, but most people (my brother included) would want a list that shows most, if not all , the moves.

I'm like your brother. I prefer a list of moves, because I might not discover all the moves in this game otherwise.

At least tell us the basics. I started with 2K6 and 2K7, and in 2K7, it said in my VIP profile that my Isomotion usage was minimal. You can imagine my reaction: "What the @#$% is Isomotion?"

2K, if you give me $500, I will make the best instruction manual you have ever seen. In-game tutorials would be cool, too.

I might be wrong, but I thought they said this had been addressed this year and that the game would have more in game tutorials and a full practice mode were plays and etc can be ran. I think ChaseB over at OperationSports said something about this. I don't know if that means its detailed as in how to execute every move, but I hope so

Well, this (http://www.sportsgamer.com/assets/manuals/NHL2K9_X360_manual.pdf) [PDF] is the manual NHL 2K9. In the past, both games had about the same length and depth of details - not really promising.

One of the developers over at operationsports said they were fixing this issue a while back.

They said earlier in NBA2K9 announcement that the instruction manual will be close to a small novel. Something along those lines, but someone mentioned that it will be a hell of alot better than the news-cilpping of a manual we got last year...

i cant stress enough how important having a manual is, its like you have to work the game out for yourself if one isnt included. even when u think u know every move there is in the game, there's still no sure way of telling if ur unaware of any other moves.

personally when i get a game if its something as epic as a 2k basketball game i will read the instruction booklet thoroughly before playing. this way when my mates come around to play me i know about a million more realistic basketball moves then them and dominating with a vast array of moves feels so good haha. i just feel like u can never be the best at the game unless u know every move and control.

sorry for my little rant but i want a decent instruction book badly, many people may not understand how seriously me and my friends take this game. it almost breaks the very fibres of our friendships... :p

It's a lot better than last year. 2-4 pages of tables for the various moves, would be a huge improvement.

Don't go crying to mommy when people such as us are killing you with post moves, step through, fadeaways, shot stick 2.0, and other advanced moves. I rather spend 5-15 minutes with the manual, versus 1-3 hours in practice mode and/or 1-on-1 games discovering, learning, and perfecting my game.

They need a book for the post moves alone
