Anybody likeing madden 09?

It actually looks cool to me this year. I love the new player modules and the weather affects and the running movements and more. Also it looks like there going to have way more legends than 2k8. only a legend QB list was shown and there was more legend QB's than 2k8 but not as good legends as 2k8 QB's. Or I might just be too pumped for football since were in the middle of training and we are 2-0 in our scrimmages and if anybody remembers my topic from a while back about me thinking about quitting due to us being 1-9.The gameplay videos on gametrailers looked nice. But anyways anybody else liking madden 09 so far?

I personally think that way better than APF. People always say if 2K had the NFL license... wel they don't. I mean, the legends ni 2K are pretty good, but in Mdden they are always better @ adding the player animations.

No 2k football this year, means...No football. (Maybe Backbreaker) But ea doesn't get a dime of my money. Thats what the lemmings are for.

Actually, it's just as "lemmingesque" to dismiss something out of hand before actually trying it, because by habit you just assume it's the same - very fanboi

I haven't played Madden in years and years and years - but anyone following this years release can see they've made significant improvements. I still, and probably always will, hate the QB animations, but knee jerk reactions (on either the EA or 2K side) I always find kind of silly -

I really liked APF actually - but with no patch or additional content, it's at least worth seeing if EA actually steps up - new mgmt team seems to have a very different attitude

I'll rent the game first and then decide. Madden could look good from the videos but doesn't mean it plays good.

But in the end its always the same game with a few gimmicks tossed on. But hey, at least they have actual commentators now! Welcome to last gen :) .

I have to admit that I like what that Ian guy is doing coming on the forums & taking feedback directly from the fans. I wish 2K would do that. But I believe EA is just doing some form of damage control with all the hatred towards EA & declining overall madden sales.

Ya know Vinnie, the damage control sounds about right, i would have no beef with ea had they left things the way they were (NFL rights) so that other game makers could compete and give us a choice! But as it is...i cant give them my money or my respect.

Yeah Mike// i think it looks a lot better. Im like you Ill forgive a few flaws if i can play with my team..Im a football fan first video game fan second. The fan communication is amazing..If 2k9 was coming out maybe you could say it was damage control..but with no other meaningful football competition I just think Ian whatever his name is cares abouit making the best game possible.

The beauracracy of big time VG companies doest really have all that much to do with the artists...its like having network affiliates in broadcasting..sure theyll put in thier 2 cents from time to time but the team leaders are still in charge of thier games.

I feel like the guys ( like us) whove played 2k 5 for 4 years are maybe the most loyal fans in all of gaming. Take two has done nothing but take us for granted and spit on us from the get go. Good for Ian whatever..he fully admits the areas 2k was more superior and is working on it ..he doesny have to..the 100,00 people who bought All pro last year are not a threat.
