Well from my point of view I thank god they did. I would hate to have to play this game for as long as I have/did and will and have to listen to some wack rock band or torturous country music.

I LOVE 2K's choices on artists that they use. Because the sports division isn't mainstream I love how they don't use as many, if any, mainstream artists. Guys like Dan the Automator, PB Wolf & Z-Trip really give the games their own "personalities".

Yea, I think the meaning behind the rappers was they were all old school rappers, and All Pro featured all "old school" players.

It was a good idea, but they didnt flesh it out enough. Or advertise it enough.

I put in ESPN 2K5 the other day, and I was like WOW, this game has GREAT music. Then I realized it was all of my own music. I ripped a TON of songs for the game and had it totally tricked out with beats like 'you can't bring me down' and 'come on feel the noize'. What a difference the music makes when playing a game.

I think blanket statementing that rappers were used to sell this game is not a wise move considering that Rush's Tom Sawyer is the main song used.

all the commercials/promotions used rappers (noobs see link). did they reach their target audience (gamers)? i think not. how many rap music lovers do you know that bought this game?

Most videogames use rap. I don't see the big deal or the point of complaining about it, really.

Thanks too for pointing out links to newbs like me.

You must be the cool message board tough guy? You guys are always so cool and superior.
