There's still a push to get the demo out pre-release, but it depends on approvals. With us quickly coming out to release date, it is looking less likely that it will be approved before, but hopefully very shortly after.

Ron, this is what you said two weeks ago. Some communication won't hurt. What are the guys at Venom doing now. Shouldn't they be polishing the game? It should almost be gold by now! And a demo on the way.
I am not trying to flame this game but I had my hopes up quite a while. Some video's look good others don't. For me the gameplay is what matters. Thats why I did not like FN. You can't call that with common sense a boxsim.
What I mean to say: I don't hope this game is being rushed just to reach the release-date.
I can't wait either but better to wait then a half finished game (without support).

I wish YOU the person who has PLAYED the game and is an admin on THESE forums would stay online at least an hour and answer any and all of our questions we have of the gameplay and the game itself. It doesn't help any when no real questions get answered. We are the people who are contemplating purchasing this game and you've played it. Give us some info dude.

I understand your position Ronnie but at the same time it's kinda ridiculous that you guys are still being secretive with the game only a week away. That just does not make any kind of sense and it really makes me question just how good this game is really going to be.

Okay lets get deeper into this, can you tell us what other games you've chosen PF over? Because then it would be a decent gauge of where the game actually should be rated. Are they all sports games? Do you like other sports other then boxing? Is boxing your favorite sport?

I'm just trying to dig deeper dude, this is the first time I've ever heard someone who has played the game not be able to talk about it even though they are doing live promotions overseas and letting people preview it and the game is like a few days away! I just don't understand it at all.We are the people who should know about the game. We are the ones who are planning on dropping 60 on it. We deserve to know about the fundamental gameplay of this game. Why is the gameplay such a secret? It's not like the game is not gonna be out for people to copy the gameplay in a few days, so what is the big deal about telling potential buyers about the things they are interested in? Unless they are hiding something that is bad and would hurt sales, I dont see the point!

It's not rubbish at all dude , it's marketing. Those games already had followings. Open betas help for two reasons. It brings in guys, like myself, who would have not purchased those titles and it helps work out bugs. I bought both games and , well take halo out because my wife bought that for me as I wouldn't have. But I probably wouldn't have bought COD4 but when I played the beta it quickly became a must buy. But COD already had it's following.

If this game gets a following i guarantee the next installment will have way more pre-release info than this PREMIER release.

I think that is what I am going to do. I have to turn in the papers tonight to get the day off next week. So I am debating to take the 10th or the 11th. I have the game pre-ordered from Gamestop, with over night shipping, and have the feeling the game won't get to me on the 10th but on the 11th anyways.

This is what you do, you give gamestop or gamecrazy or any videogame store a call (make sure its a video game store not like toysrus) and then ask them what the ship date is for Prizefighter. If they say it ships on the 10th then that means it wont be in stores till the 11th and that means you wont get it till the 11th. If they say shipping is on the 9th then you'll get it the 10th. lol I work at ups as package rat, so I know if gamestop gets PF in the hands of my fellow brothers in brown on the 9th, I will have it on the 10th around 1:00 pm :D It all depends on Gamestop...

lol Fn was a very solid game with some minor flaws. But I am very bored with it. I need a new boxing fix, and PF seems to bring that, with a new roster and gameplay. Graphic wise it won't touch FN3. But authentic wise, FN3 can't touch PF. The sourroundings and crowd, look fantastic. Plus all the cut scenes like the entrance, in the ring intro, and after the matches look awesome. I can't wait for PF and FN4 though. Last night about died for this game too..by a torandao

I will tell you what I think about the gameplay on tuesday:) I personally can't tell to much form the videos. The last combo Norton threw on Holmes looked awesome in the historic fights. All we have gotten so far are HL shots. I like to see some blocking and in the ring movement more. But hey, I have been saving up pennies for awhile for this game, and I am ready to give it a go on tuesday. It will be the day of answers. I think I am going to like this game regardless. The only way this game will suck if it plays like Mike Tyson's Heavyweight boxing, and it won't.

I still have mike tysons boxing, the blocking system in that game if you had to describe it sounds like prizefighter, although if there is a god, he wont let the game play like that in any way shape or form.

It had a really really good roster, just all heavyweights (considering it was HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING) i just hated everything about the gameplay, it was soul destroying man.

oh man you aint lying about bioshock. but that isn't really related to pf or 2k sports, thats 2k games. different brand. the original 2k sports team was vc. Thats the REAL 2k sports. Everyone else is just using their brand for business purposes

The demo for NHL 2K8 came out 2+ weeks after the game was released. 2K has had a bad thing going with getting demos out in a timely manner the past couple years. Only the NBA game was able to get a demo out a week+ before the game shipped. If it wasn't approved by MS yet, then that's what the story is, why would he make it up?

Because any time 2K doesn't want or can't get something out on time - it's MS not approving it. But when they want something out (like the Prizefighter or Top Spin 3 picture packs), MS has no issues.

2K and Ronnie need to man up and stop blaming MS for things that are either 2K issues or decisions.
