I only have 10 slots. And the options were based on information I gathered from various forums/discussions. While I agree with you that they are great players, they weren't as popular as the players I selected. I am as confused as you as to why Janko got so many mentions, but I was going by majority vote, not my personal opinions.:)

I also think Gasquet is a burnout and should not be included. But that's just me.

1. Marcos Baghdatis-
If they only added one more player, this is my pick. This guy is just exciting. This guy's a star. He makes unbelievable shots. He is never out of a match. Always has fun no matter the situation. Some of his matches are already classics(Agassi). Has the potential to be great. His problem is inconsistency. One tournament he looks like a million bucks, the next he is out in round 1.

2. Ana Ivanovic-
She is just beautiful. Is really starting to break through. Very good forehand. My prediction winner for the French Open that is going on now. Ana is more consistent these days. She has made the Finals of the French Open 2007 and Australian Open 2008.

3. Djokovic-
Novak has become a really solid player over the last year and a half. You can count on him to play tough and go deep in tournaments. He has some great wins over Federer and Nadal. He won his first Grand Slam at the Australian Open earlier this year.

4. Fernando Gonzalez-
My god what a forehand! Was known for his "Go for broke on every shot" type style about year and a half ago. Fernando has since learned to create more points by adding slices and patience to his game thanks to his new coach Larry Stefanki. He loves the forehand. Often running around balls just to hit the forehand.


Other Players:
David Ferrer, Davydanko, Jankovic, Williams sisters, Nadal to the 360 damn it!, Ljubicic, Tsonga, Kirilenko, and give my man Fabrice Santoro some love.

Legends:
Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, John Mcenroe, Jimmy Conners.

No actually i haven't seen how well he does 0 singles titles and 1 final and he's like 23 years old so no i haven't. Im not that fond of Philippoussis either but i still think he has more right to be in the game than Tsonga. And as for Safin i know he is not doing well at the moment but he as acomplished far more in his carrer than Tsonga.

About S. Edberg, I voted for him, because he was so much fun to watch, and an amazing player. The only problem with him was that because he was shy and not American the media didn't give him the credit he deserved. We are talking about a man who won 9 Grand Slam, 6 single and 3 doubles. Finalist in 11 more!! and a Master Cup winner. How many can sat that?

Just to let you all know, this is a post from the owner of a TS3 fansite. His polls for DLC players have had odd voting patterns as well as these. This is from his site:

On a sidenote, why 2K doesn't add a whole bunch of lower tier players, as they would be much more cheaper than the stars and it would make the game much more realistic.
I for one would rather have 6 or 7 50-100 ranked players than let's say a Hewitt.

I voted for Novak Djokovic, Marat Safin and Nikolay Davydenko because they have all different strengths and are really good Players which everybody knows who's interested in Tennis. Yeah I would like to see them in a DLC.

BTW I would even buy this Game if it hadn't a single Pro because for me it's all about the Player-Creation anyway. The Gameplay is important and it would be a huge disappointment if it's not great. I really hope PAM did a great Job at this point. :lol:

Edberg actually did get so many because of azze. He voted on the TS3 fan site. And he voted for Edberg, Hewitt, Warwinka, and Kolshrieber over 20 times each. The rest of his votes were dispersed over various players. So take away 20 votes from Edberg and Hewitt on this poll, and you will get a more accurate view I think.

Just don't hold your breath waiting for the DLC. The first MLB DLC release was "set in stone" for May 11. It still hasn't come out yet and 2K is avoiding the boards so they don't have to explain why. If you see the DLC before the 2009 Aussie Open begins, consider yourself lucky.

Safin: great player, but he should only be in the game if you can make him throw and destroy his rackets in....let me guess...at least 5 different ways:-))))
Baghdatis: I like him. seems as if I like people who don't forget to have fun on the court, no matter what the scoreboard is telling you (L!!! L!!! L!!!*g) I haven't seen him for a long time but his match at US Open vs Agassi is the reason to get him in the game
Hewitt: well, he's one of the players I don't like! I don't know why. But he should be in the game.

But the game can't have Borg without McEnroe. It's like pizza without crust. They had Sampras in the first game and everyone wants to play Fed vs. Sampras.

He is not in his prime anymore, but he is still a fan favorite. Come on. Tsonga gets to one final. Hasn't won ****, but gets to a final, and everyone votes for him. Why? Personality and flare. Both these guys have it. Thats why I voted for both of them.

Novak Djokovic because if anyone is going to break the Federer/Nadal domination it'll be him.

Lleyton Hewitt may be getting old by tennis standards nowadays but he is a battle-axe/war-horse who has proved himself time and again on the main stage.

Marco Baghdatis as he is one of those players that just excites the crowds however you never know how his going to perform from one tournament to the next.

Also Marat Safin i'd say should be in there is well, former Grand Slam winner twice if i'm not mistaken, i know he'd slipped down the ranks before Wimbledon but that tournament just proved his still got it within him to a contender.
