I was playing BenRichardson a couple of times the other night with our NFL league squads..Ben's a really good player..great challenge..1 of only a couple of people who I know who can succesfully run a tampa-2 style base D.
Anyway..one of our games..my Bronze Chad Pennington, threw 6 picks. 2 were great jumps on the ball by Ben, one was a pick that bounced of my recievers body, then off of someone and scooped up...the others where on throws to open guys, that my QB simply decided to miss...and miss by ALOT.
Ive gone with generics that I have thrown better balls with then the slop he was slinging out there.

Quick release..... but yeah the arm strength and drop of from a silver to a bronze is pretty harsh.

I run with bronze J. Beck, I gave him a rocket arm and does well for me. The key is playcalling with a QB and have enough strenght to beat the zone.

That depends. I think everyone around here gets used to QB's with Rocket Arm. I've always run with Laser Arm, and Harbaugh's arm isn't bad at all. No, he won't do the 70 yard carpet bomb on you, but it's enough to get it downfield on the reasonable plays. The only ones that would care are ones looking to hook up on the fade consistently.

True LOL you can still do it with the weaker arms you just gotta tap the button and put some arc on it.

I think I may go generic, because chad with pocket presence certainly feels like one most of the time.
chad has high accuracy, but it certainly isnt due to him having a laser arm..its more of the nature of the jets offense to not throw more then 15 yds downfield, because he simply cannot do it.

i think that in order for a bronze cap not to suck he has to have either laser or rocket arm, but if you are running a pass based offense a bronze cap makes it really really difficult, with a weak, inaccurate arm.

I had a Chris Redman (Falcons QB from the end of last season) with Laser Arm and he actually did really well for me.

So I guess the consensus is, if the guy doesnt have a charge throw, you are going to end up with a crap platter taking snaps.

seems that way, i have never had any success without one or the other, but i think in a way it makes since, i mean look at the bronze qb's on the game other than which of those qb's was on a team where they had to win the game, they are all role players that had good running games any time they had success in their careers, and andre ware never had any success at all, if he got in why not add akili smith and david klingler?? i mean was trent dilfer busy??? i think ryan leaf is at burger king, so i am sure he could have used 300$ for being in the game.

My bronze Jay Cutler with rocket arm seems to do well.

Every bronze QB, but JaMarcus Russel has been good for me. In DL try Jim McMahon, he's been good the 2x I used him.

hmmm, the only time i havent had a silver qb was when i was using generic QBs and receivers. the trick is to surround them with linemen and have one be a concrete wall, so that he doesnt get scared. that, and dont rely on the pass all game, and dont throw it too far downfield if you dont have to

I made Doug Williams and gave him Clutch. Thought it was kinda accurate and he worked rather well. No different than the silvers (with the exception of Stabler).
