Does this play ever work? I either get tackled right away or the pass is not even close to being completed.

chalk it up to a broken play the only way you have time to throw is if the opponent is in a passing defense, and then you have to have a hb that can throw, but how would you know that, other than walter payton dont know of any

I recently threw a TD with my CAP Marion Barber.

It's one of the highlights of my life.

this play along with other plays used to work intill people started learning how to easily defend it now it has a chance of not working more than having a chance at working.

Ive seen it work once, and my friend was playing with Barry Sanders on Rookie, and he threw a 50 some yard TD with Barry to Willie Gault. Well, the pass was only about 15-20 yards in the air, but Willie Gault took it the rest of the way for the TD.

I think it is just as useless as the HB Shovel Pass.. Every single time either my center or guard backs up into the ball.

I tried my old trick from 2k5 and it hasn't worked in practice mode so I don't have it installed in any of my plays.

It is another sign that the AI has flaws, not because it doesn't work, but how you can't even set it up to work. Suddenly the DL and LB swarm to the HB on this particular play, but otherwise they let you run all over them.

Marcus Allen and even Emmit Smith.

I have Emmitt so I'll check it out in practice mode.
I have Emmitt and I'll check it out.

I use it like a run play now. I don't try to get the hb to throw the ball they have no arm strength anyways.

Bugs me that the shovel pass doesn't work at all. It was a better call than the draw play in 2K5. Now it never works. :(

bugs me too Numb. it use to work like a charm in 2k5 especially when a person is in a dime defense. that's usually when i do it. i'll come out in 4 wr sets to throw off the D into thinking i'm going deep.

It works... but not as well as 2k5.
A lot tougher with someone playing MLB though.

I've used it with some success, but I rarely use it.

I have gotten it to work like once. Its pretty broken. There is 1 reverse that works pretty good at times, but most are broken as hell.

HB Shovel works VERY rarely but it was to ****** good of a play in 2k5.
