I don't have the best record out there 48-15, but it's decent. But my most recent game was horrible!!! The guys has Betha and D. Jones on the line. Shotgun, quick and 3 step drops all end up with his ends right in my face. I ran fairly successful when I could. The 1st half was ending and I was up 7-3. I have the ball on the 34 and I throw it deep to Maynard. He catches it and it's off to the races only the race ended at the 2 with no timeouts and 11 sec left. Since it was such a long completes my guys didn't make it to the line in time so it ends 7-3. the 2nd half comes and the game gets crazy. I break a long run 60+ with Sayers and it's 14-3. He has a nice drive and scores and it's 14-10 me. He kicks off and I return it for a TD. I kick off and he returns the favor with a return for a TD 21-18 me. I throw a stupid pick and he scores 25-21 him. I finally get a drive going and score with 1:03 on the clock (28-25 me) but he's got 2 TO's. He drives with a few hits to the RB for chunks of yards and finally to P. Metz. With no TO's left he no huddles and hit's P. Metz. again on a corner route in the endzone with 4sec left. Final score 32-28 him with me bowing out throwing a pick deep. Quite the frustrating loss!!!!!

Too many highs and lows for me!!!! The 60+ yard pass with nothing to show for it. The KR negated by another KR. Sayers 60+ romp for naught. And getting burned by P. Metz on the no huddle. Arhhhhhhhhh

Sounds like a game I was going to post, but I felt adventurous and used windows Movie Maker. The final rendering came out really bad so I didn't bother to post or share it. I still have the original videos, but putting it together requires some time. I'll try Flash to put it together.
Anyway, the 2nd half seems to almost always end on some big play that teases one into thinking it is going to be a score only to come up short.
But it sounds like a nice game.

Football logic you don't want to stop the clock when your guy has no timeouts and you're leading. APF 2K8 logic you want to call that time out at the most crucial point when the guy is in hurry up mode because you will get killed if he has a good hurry up flow going. I guess it's the equivalent of getting your guys together so they know the gameplan because they WILL be in la-la land with the hurry up.

Agreed. I've noticed that no one complains about my use of timeouts anymore. I used to get all kinds of grief, but I think many have figured out that I was closer to the truth about the game's mechanics and momentum, so some people bought into it.

I just had my most frustrating. The guy did everything...cadence, hops, going for it on 4th in his own end...and his offense was just throwing it with Cunningham into triple coverage and somehow coming away with the ball. I had one missed interception that clipped through my defender's arms, and one when I was down by six in the 4th where Barney intercepted the ball clearly in bounds, took a step with his other foot just for good measure, but the int was out of bounds even after my challenge.
To top it off I had seven penalties, BESIDES THE CADENCE.
Can't wait to play again today and get a good game in hah. Maybe my luck will change. =P

I can't remember all the variables so I'm not even sure if I had a timeout to slow his no huddle rhythm. That last play I was keyed on his RB coming out of the back field and let the TE free.
