I'm currently using Ickey Woods as my running back, and while he works out alright, he can break out some great runs, I just feel that I can do better. One game he runs for 158 yards and 3 tds, the next, he gets stopped almost every play. what are some good silver running backs? I would also possibly keep woods, or start using brian johnston as my runner.

I really like Chris Warren. He isn't flashy but can run with power when need be and has enough speed to get to the outside. Some games he can be a small factor while in others he can be a monster. Make sure to give him is touches, though, because his Workhorse Ability really begins to shine in the 4th Qtr, especially on Legend difficulty.

I started off using Muncie but then I made my own CAP with BT and Speed burner and he's better than any other Silver I have used.
But then I don't throw to my backs much, if i did Craig would be the man.

I made Robert Smith with Quick Feet and Cutback Ability and he is leaps and bounds better than the other silver RBs.
Of course, Otis Anderson works great for a workhorse type back.

Same here..Ive created CAP Silver Thomas Jones, Willis Mcgahee, Jamal Lewis as silvers and have found they are better then the majority of the silver backs.
The silvers blow so hot and cold in my opinion

These are my favorite silver backs, in no particular order:
Chris Warren- He's strong enough to throw off tackles, and his workhorse ability makes him get stronger with each carry. Also, his shoulder charge is better than some with the ability.
Ricky Watters- Most underrated silver back IMO. He shrugs off tackles better than any other silver back, including Otis Anderson and Chris Warren. Plus he a great threat to catch the ball out of the backfield
Curt Warner- The fastest "power" back in the game. His shoulder charge is great, and he has workhorse so he gets better as the game goes. I say "power" back because although he has Battering Ram, he also has Stop on a Dime, and is quite a good finesse type back also. Closest thing to Finesse & Power you can get in a silver back.

I'll second all the praise being heaped on Chris Warren. He's good.

Can't help you guys with this one. I run with a generic back and average about 4.5 yards per carry. ;) lol

If the generic is named Leroy Green I believe you. Leroy is a monster, by far the best generic HB in the game.

Ottis Anderson is the best Power Back in the silver tier. He is fast also. He is by far the hardest to tackle.

Okay, thanks for all the help, I've narrowed it down to keeping Ickey, Chris Warner, Ricky Watters, or a CAP. On a second note, I can't think of any CAP ideas, any suggestions?
