Do sliders do anything in franchise mode?

I know or think atleast havent actually seen the sliders in mlb2k8 affect simulating...however in nba2k8 do the sliders affect how many points are scored? like how do i get a big man like dwight howard to score 25 a game in simulation? any tips or suggestions on sliders would be great

Depends how you use them, not too hard to rack up 25 with D12 but try boosting close range shooting or offensive low post.

if you put everything on 100 and the cpu on 0 then you actually cant lose
